WOO HOO aussiegirl. You go girl ! I have never hoped to get stuck in a lift, but I wish for your sake you 2 do. ha ha
Swift Kate, some days I have neausea, and I find Ribena juice helps. I dont know why, but it works for me. Also my sister had it in pregnancy as it settled her tummy. Give it a go.
    Take care.

Scotty I echo what the others have said, definitely speak to a nutritionist. I would also see your GP and do blood work, see if you are low on things like B12 and Iron which help with energy levels. I know I had B12 issues and got the shot/s and started to feel better.
I also started out eatting toast for breakky, which left me with a queasy feeling...now I have greek yoghurt and some Cereal or muesli. When I felt ill in the morning it made the rest of the day just feel off.
Good luck and i hope you are able to get it sorted soon.
SwiftKate, hope you are doing better. From memory the runs were part of the first few weeks purely because of the liquid diet, things are a bit freer...for me it did get better after moving to more solid food.
Today has been one of those days were I realise how much things have changed for me since the surgery, confidence wise. I am actually shocked/surprised this happened. Long story short cause of the ankle I have been home more frequently and last week ran into this really (seems really nice guy) in my lift and we had some chats. Anyway I was always with some carer so it didnt go any further. But I didnt know what apartment he lived in, just his floor. So I wrote a note and put it in all the apartments on his floor, saying you know would you like to have a coffee or something. Did this Sunday and really didnt think anything would come of it...anyway today I got a text message from him wanting to know if I wanted to get lunch with him. Which was sad cause I was actually at work so couldnt, anyway we have agreed to try another day....
But if nothing comes of it, fine, but 1. I had the confidence to put myself out there 2. I was engaging enough (broken ankle and all) that he remembered me and was interested enough to get in touch.
Maybe this ankle thing was for the best......Sorry I was just so excited it happened I had to share

    Hi Scotty
Sorry to hear that, but keep up the great attitude. By week 12 you should be on "almost" free diet. So unless there is something that you new little tummy dosnt like (such as creamy food or starchy food) you should be on all foods. I agree with everyone above about a quick visit with your dietitian. I know I felt 100% better off the mushies and on a normal diet. More energy and less blah!

Thanks guys for the posts, I might try those oats Dean. I was only eating toast as I thought it might be light enough to stay down. I had to reschedule my dieticians appt. I'm sure it'll get better.

    That's rough dude!
Must be really hard to train on those calories.
Have you always had toast for Breakfast? I know I find bread really hard. Tried it once, haven't gone back.
A guy at work whose son is a pro Thai boxer put me onto 'cold porridge'. 30 or 40 grams of porridge oats in a bowl. Pour milk until it's covered well. Cling wrap and put in the fridge over night. I stir it up in the morning and add a little more milk, like a tablespoon. Some times I'll put 3 slices of banana (kids eat the rest on their weet bix) or slice up a strawberry. Some times I'll add a dash of sugar free maple flavoured Syrup (tastes nothing like maple syrup, but it's alright).
The oats are a really clean Breakfast and without being cooked have a heap of natural sweetness (I was surprised).
From memory I thing 40g of oats is 152 cals 6 gm Protein.
Having that an hour before you train might help? Just a suggestion,
    Deano

AussieLady, I embeded the video in the following topic http://www.verticals...52-nsv-changes/..hopefully you can view it there
Shell - WAY to go *insert happy dance*...you look awesome.
Thank you all for your feedback and comments, especially about the video and the negative people. I know I have to walk away from this person, but he was my biggest supporter over the last year, being there encouraging me for almost every challenge I set myself. But he lies to me, about things that are not worth it, so how can I believe what he says about me...his actions and words dont aline and it just does my head in. Talking to him about it only leads to more lies..anyway I will find a way to put some distance be healthy mind and spirit.
    New Year...finally New ME!!
BTW I am open to be set up if anyone know and nice elligible single men hahaha:)

Hey guys im going to take a hiatus from this forum for a while, i love reading all the success stories and am so happy for those who are well on their way to being sleeved.
I'm to be honest feeling a bit sorry for myself at the moment as everything has been so up in the air for me. My first consult was Oct 16th and I am no closer to knowing whats going on, by the time I even get sleeved (if i ever do) it wont be until now March next year.
I wont leave you all hanging though, I will pop in and tell you what my surgeons decision either way.
I hope you all have a Merry Xmas and enjoy your new years! Take care xxx

    Hi All
I haven't checked in for a while and have just caught up on the thread - great to see everyone doing so well with their weight loss - i remember when i went from obese to overweight - i was so happy too.
The dreaded scales - I also had the weight watchers ones which packed it in quite quickly, my prior Bi-lo cheapo ones were great until my husband tripped over them and they shattered!
The ones I have now are great and seem to weigh the same as my doctors - so happy.
Mimz - sorry to here your news about the polyps - please try not to worry until you know what you are dealing with - easier said than done I know. The one positive is that they have found them now - if you hadn't been having the surgery you may never have known so I think this is a good thing. I will be thinking of you and sending positive thoughts your way. Let us know how you go.
Lila - that is fantastic news. We were all wishing that it would turn out well for you and I guess we all got our wishes. Onward and upward!!! ( or downward in our case!) Your must be so happy to get the all clear and to know that everything is back on track.
Aussie Girl - great to hear that you are dating! You are looking fantastic and still losing ( or should I say winning!)
Welcome all new people to our thread. Hope you enjoy the group of people on here - they have all been a wealth of support and advise for me since my op in July this year. My total weight loss is 33 kg - started at 102 when I was referred by my GP and weighed myself yesterday at 68.8 - BMI of 25 so in the healthy weight range and really happy about that. I am losing very slowly now but not worried about that. Any loss from now on is a bonus!

Hi All again It is great to see you all doing so well. It so good to come in hear and see such posts, size 16s, going into overweight range...we are all rocking our sleeves. So many positive changes to Celebrate this silly season.
Just to add my 2c worth to the weight right post surgery. It is also common that bloating and all the fluids they put in you in hospital add to your weight. I came home 3 kgs heavier than I was pre-surgery after 3 days in hospital, however these and more came off pretty quickly in the next week or so.
This week my trainer asked me to keep a food diary, I laughed him, such a silly time to do a food diary especially since most my calories are liquid calories. But it is good to keep me in check, so far given the amount of parties and eatting being done, I am surprised to see I have lost another 1.5kgs especially since I am not even remotely trying. It is so nice to go into the new year not worrying about getting the weight off and the burden of it all...not sure what my new years resolutions will be this year. I have also started dating...we'll see if anything comes out of it, but atleast I am confident enough to get out there and meet guys now.

Had a great time last night. Good ego boost which was a nice change. My best friend who does not support what I have done (pure jealously) had a Christmas party. I wore my new size 12 NYDJ jeans for the first time and had compliments from every person there except her. I felt fabulous and enjoyed the positive attention. I knew I looked the best I have been in 20 years and she hated it!! I've never discussed my surgery with her after initially telling her I was having it and now just let the results to date speak for themselves.

I forgot to share a monumental moment this week, I checked my BMI and it is 29. WOW I am OVERWEIGHT not Obese anymore.
I never thought I would be so bloody happy to be overweight.
Only other weight strugglers would understand the joy in being overweight, as I started morbidly obese.
A very happy overweight girl here today.

    Hi All
I am glad everyone is so well.
Lila please dont focus on the amount. We can have part of our tummy that makes us eat too much cut out, but we cant have that negative part of our brain cut out. Our heads play funny tricks on us sometimes.
Why is it if we put on 2 kilos, we say "Oh my god I put on 2 kilos can you believe it, so much" but when we lose 2 kilos we dont say "that much" it becomes ONLY 2 kilos.
Aussiekelloff, good on you, I remember the first 16 I bought, I was tempted to leave the tag on and hanging out, just to show people i can wear a 16.
Just wait until you go in to City chic with a friend and I pick up a dress and say "this is nice" and the shop assistant says "We dont have anything here to fit you" WOO HOO, I am used to it being "We dont have anything to fit you" for all the WRONG reasons.
