  1. Y'all will do great. Good luck and speedy recovery!
  2. Interesting turn on the topic.
  3. What's that got to do with anything?
  4. Tell them your dr has you on a very strict diet and excercise regimen
  5. I think some stupid is fixable. It's just that some learn the hard way. Pop and or carbonation has no good value whatsoever. It's addictive, full of additives and other nasty crap and robs the body and skin of valuable sources it needs. That alone made me a non pop drinker years and years ago. My university professor was the inventor of one of the popular sugar substitutes and.. Having first hand conversations in his class THERE'S NO WAY I'VE EVER USED SUGAR SUSTITUTE. It's slow death in a packet
  6. Removal doesn't hurt at all. Just a weird feeling. I scabbed within a week and can't remember when that came off.
  7. Fortunately I'm still not hungry. Almost 6 months out and it's only occasionally when I smell a good food that I get hungry. My lack of eating is probably a huge factor in my level of weigh loss. I find that ok since I'm not wanting to be interested in eating other to stay healthy.
  8. My dr showed me how to manage with a 1 year old. Of course avoid the lifting, but at times you cant , you sit and let him crawl onto your lap and then you get up. This is something your mom can do when she's a week or so out.
  9. Yesterday, I fast walked (w/stroller) the Green Lake 3 miles and some Lil old lady ran past me.. I'm thinking I'm going to have step up my pace
  10. Your body got the " I'm starving" message and is going to get stingier and stingier about letting go of its fuel reserve.
  11. Oh goodness.. You sound right on track. I can't believe your dr doesn't realize that everyone loses differently and WE ALL GO THROUGH STALLS! Shame on him for discouraging ou. I'm almost 6 months and 45 lbs down. I don't say "only" anymore because I'm ok as long as its losing and not gaining. Hang in there.. You're doing great!
  12. It will happen.. Be patient and trust us when we say you've done an awesome job so far!
  13. Since I read this post I keep thinking of my friend who is not only a perfect 10 in every way.. She's nice! But she's clueless to how her remarks are taken. She was telling me she quit chewing gum because she heard it bloats your body and makes you look fat. Seriously?
  14. NG= A nasogastric tube is used for feeding and administering drugs and other oral things. These are rarely used and I'm not even sure why they would be. Don't worry
  15. I had an amazing post-op experience. (Laura .. Stay outta this ) I woke up as if I had a good nap and absolutely no side effects. Requested no meds and I was walking right away. Slept on my sides in a bed from day one and swallowed my meds when needed. Stayed the required 2nights and left to spend the next few days vacationing in MX and S Califonia. Could have gone back to work right away, but I already took the 3 weeks off plus it was Christmas time so I played around. Didn't go skiing, but only because I thought that was pushing my luck. Some have a great experience and some don't.
  16. LOL.. You must have one of those faces that really changes with weightloss. I think we all have friends who don't think about what they're saying.. Sometimes we'll never know why people say the crap they do. Some people are honestly clueless.. And yet, some people have a motive for the gibe they send our way. I totally understand your rant.
  17. I'm very comfortable in my hoody and jeans and I can wear whatever to work, so.. Until I was forced to find something to wear to a funeral I never even started wearing different clothes. Of course I found every size in my closet EXCEPT the size I needed. I have every size from 16 to 4.. I borrowed, lol. I know myself very very well and I know I won't feel thinner until I reach goal. That's just me and I won't shop until then. Oh, although I may buy some compression biking capris
  18. Exciting.. Nice job!
  19. I have always had a difficult time with compliments.. Not just about physical compliments, but about food I cook or bake or my decorating. But I'm shy.. Not! Lol.. I don't know why I'm like flustered when someone compliments me.. No doubt it's some disorder.. Syndrome or I wasn't rocked enough as a child etc;)
  20. You look awesome and so happy! Good job!
  21. Goodness.. This sounds awful! I can't imagine .. You've been unable to eat for over a month and your dr said that's ok? You need to be checked out or you're going to become unhealthy. I'm so sorry your going through this and hope you get some answers soon.
