    Complications

You are in my prayers and hope you recover soon
  2. Wow.. "You've come a long ways, baby!" Now you need to add "jr" to your name 'cause you're no longer the old one. So proud of you and the new life you're beginning ..

At The End Of The Day...

Either you don't have anything to say or the site isn't letting me view your post

    Denial

Just like a recovering alcoholic, I'm a recovering food addict. It's going to be a life time addiction that I will have to manage forrrrrrrreverrrrrrrr.

No View All Selection - Bring It Back

Yeah, But my estimate looks cooler

    Denial

Absolutely. Although, denial was a long ways back for me. I've always known and accepted I was an addict. It took what I thought as hitting bottom to do something about it, though. I never want to be that miserable again NEVER.

No View All Selection - Bring It Back

How did the post count quadruple x's 10? At first I thought my lapband posts combined with my sleeve posts, but I notice some people are in the 20,000!

    Pants on Fire!

I've told no one except immediate family and boss. No one has asked or commented so I guess I should be happy no one cares about me

No View All Selection - Bring It Back

This is my main complaint. I want more recent topics and there's a whole empty sidebar available
  11. Lol.. Just keep your expectation reasonable and you will succeed.

the fat fills in the wrinkles?

I think with some wls it all comes down to your health. With the bypass you really have to diligently work at keeping yourself healthy because of malabsorption reasons. With the lapband I believe a lot of patients are unable to eat a healthy diet. I think the VGS patient have a lot more control of nutrition and fare much better with a healthy body.. And looks. As for wrinkles.. Well, I'm ok with a Lil Botox at 56

    Enabling

For me, I need tough facts and no pity when it comes to support from this site. I get enough enabling sympathy from people around me who have no clue how hard it is to stay on track. The pity sympathy just encourages my weak mind to stray further. Around here, I want a swift kick in the derrière .. Not pity. I'm a grown adult.

    Question For Alex

Oh.. I appreciate the return of my ticker, but one is probably sufficient.

    Question For Alex

I've never been a fan of change.. Fact I'm a pissy patty when it comes to this new change. BUT... I will be patient ... For awhile. But the tech issue link repeatedly tells me "oops" ... Not a good sign
  16. Oh.. And no clue why my ticker shows twice .. Sorry lol
  17. Actually, it's a lot more difficult for low BMI'ers to lose than higher. The fact is.. The closer you are to the goal the slower and harder it is to lose. I know for a fact... It's been a year for me, but I'm ok because it's not a race for me. It's a life changing stage

I Feel Like A Trader But...

    Other or old site?
  19. I think if you do you're research you will find there are 4 or 5 excellent surgeons we would recommend in MX. Not there aren't more, but there are a good top five being highly recommended here.

Dr Ponce De Leon & Trish

Sorry I didn't get back to your question. Trish will notify you when to start your pre-op of yogurt and clear liquids. Normally a week before

I Feel Like A Trader But...

I don't think it's any quieter.. Just harder to find the action
  22. I agree, but math wasn't behind my knowledge, (nor has it ever been). If you think about all the diets we've been on in our life.. The one true fact is, the closer to your goal the slower you lose. So, the less weight you have to lose the slower you do. I'm at that stubborn last 10 pounds and let me tll ya.. It's not giving in at all. Gamergirl. You're right on the mark and everyone should be happy with they're loss.. Fast, slow, a lot or a little.. Just say bye bye poundage anyway you can
  23. Wow.. Now that's mean! She definitely made sure you knew for a reason.. A very selfish reason at that. I mean why else would she say anything? She has issues of some sort.. I'm just sorry you're being left out and so hurt. Have you talked to the other friend? I would just be open with her and be blunt about how hurt you are for not being included. Oh, and yes, some will say move on and get new friends.. But dang, you're hurt so just get the scoop on the poop and then go from there

Dr Ponce De Leon & Trish

I did almost a year ago and my daughter is scheduled for Dec 13th There's lots on Dr Ponce and all you have to do is use the search bar and his name. I have nothing but wonderful things to say and others do too. Good luck and enjoy the sun when you're down there

    I just can't believe it!

Don't stop or give up. At the least you can fight for reimbursement for unnecessary testing and diagnosis procedures you endured as their requirements etc. You won't be covered for surgery because that's written in your policy. Nothing can be done about that, but fight for your reimbursement. So sorry you experienced the nastiness of the ol' faithful insurance company.. I personally despise them
