Congrats.. You'll be so happy with the sleeve compared to band. In time you'll be able to eat all the healthy foods you weren't able to whie banded. -

I agree with M2G.. The few weeks after surgery is not a norm to base anything on. Not only everything she listed you have to account for the anesthesia effect on some people. It can last a lot longer than some think. -

Ooooh.. I knew the turmoil was a given. Heck.. We had/have drama with just us sleevers so there was no nuclear scientist thinking to see the outcome of banders and sleevers together. I think it was a brilliant move for Alex to make. Kudos to him.

Maybe we should start by asking where this question came from.. never heard of memory loss or the such. I suppose there could be thousands out there with memory loss and forgot how to get online? Any thing medically claimed to back this up? -
Yes Jane I agree, there are a few excellent Bariatric surgeons in the PNW. I actually was treated by two wonderful Dr's who did my urgent band removals n saved my life... twice.

And all this time we thought we were just constipated post op and now we know it was the staples clogging us up. As for the topic not worth debating? I think the debate is long over but the comedy is long lasting. lol the poor surgeon in Spokane has quite the reputation now -

Oh and BTW. Both my daughters have band and are both over 200lbs No matter what band adjustments they got the band was never successful for them. One is having a revision Dec 13th. She's so excited because she has watched my revision success. -

How the hell do you sheet staples out when they are not INSIDE the stomach? And I'll tell you.. No way on Gods green earth would I want my surgeon using wimpy disposable stape to keep one of my organs intact. And some ordered why I said I couldn't find a Washington/PNW dr I was confidant in. -
