  1. Still gurgling 5 weeks out with a PPI..
  2. 5 weeks out & could barely finish one low- salt piece of ham & cheese roll- up. Shouldn't I be taking in a little more? Drinking fine & getting in my protein shake.
  3. Welcome & speedy recovery
  4. Not loving this feeling at all. My monthly's were never a problem. I guess I will plan a soft diet on the next go-around until my stomach completely heals... Thanks everyone for your input....
  5. Not loving this feeling at all. All my life my monthly's were always so in eventful. Guess I'll have to stick to a soft diet next go around....all life lessons on living with my new stomach.
  6. Does anyone else feel their stomach & tolerance for food are very different during your periods. Feeling a bit nauseous.....Ugh. A month sleeved..
  7. I am so sorry to hear about all the complications your poor mom is going through. And you yourself still recovering. Thank God she's been seen back home & on her way to recovery. You both will be in my prayers. Please keep us updated!
  8. I've noticed that right when I'm due for my period, my stomach gets really gurgled all day & it goes nonstop when I try to eat & drink. I've never had any problems with any monthly issues pre-sleeve. I've always been lucky in that area. Just wondering if anyone else is dealing with this
  9. Totally! Drinking is much easier for me & I've noticed that I can take bigger sips now. I definitely am at the same mindset that I'm trying to get in as much as I can because I know after 4 bites I'm full so I try to "race the clock" & get in as much as I can. I will be working on this to change that behavior!
  10. Oh I never overeat, but I was always such a fast eater so it's sooo hard to slow it down. Some days are much better than others... I guess it's all a learning process. Thanks for you input...
  11. I'm almost shy of a month out & I still am trying to get used to taking small bites & chewing food completely. Sometimes I think I'm all healed & start to chew like I used to & boy do I pay for it later...is anyone going through this as well? I hate throwing up!!!
  12. Great to see a fellow NY'er! Best of luck to you..
  13. Charchar - was it NY Cornell Presbyterian? That's where I had mine on 9/17... If so, who was your DR? Welcome to the club!
  14. Thanks so much!!! Downloaded both. Looks very informative...
  15. Absolutely - each day is a good & healthier day. It just really hit me today because I was so wrapped up in following my food intakes & getting back to work that I never took real notice of my ever-changing shrinking body... So it was quite nice...
  16. I needed a new coat for the kind of weather we are having now in NY. One month sleeved & already a size down. Bought some PJ's also & two sizes down & they are still loose!! Just wanted to share.... It's a good day!
  17. Franklin Square, Long Island... Sleeved 9/17 - 32 pounds down. Sleeved by Dr. Dakin @ NY Cornell Presbyterian in Manhattan.
  18. I went back to work in 2 weeks. Really a week and a half considering I was in the hospital for 3 days. It's been all good! A little tired more the 2nd week than the first but not too severe.. I live in NY so there's a lot of subway steps & crowds. During rush hour you better keep up with the pace or you'll be crushed! Lol
  19. Right now until I see my doctor next week (one month sleeved) I've been doing a lot of walking & some hand weights. Afraid to do any abs until he gives me the ok.
  20. You can do it! If I can so can you. Thank God I was only required to do a 2 day pre- op liquid. Before that. I ate everything in sight at my " food funeral"....sleeved 9/17 have lost 32 pounds so far, back to work 2 weeks ago & don't regret a thing. No cravings. I eat now because I have to & I'm lucky that healthy foods seem to go down the best. Believe me, I'm Italian & could eat pasta, pizza & gobs off cheese constantly - hence the overweight!! Now I don't even think about it... You will do great!!
  21. Like everyone else - it really depends on you. I went back to work in 2 weeks & I live in NY so I have a crazy, crowded subway commute, but it was fine. I could've went back even earlier, but everyone is different... I'd like to say it would probably be fine....
  22. I know. I thought I was doing myself a favor by making it more moist... Not during that again!
  23. Hey guys, some of you may be familiar with my posts, but for those who are not, I was sleeved 9/17 & this week I was allowed regular food...Ate part of a chicken leg & made mistake of adding drippings for extra moisture. Not a good idea! Sleeve is not ready for even a little bit of driipping
