  1. Glad ur on the road to recovery and have an amazing attitude! As for understanding what happened, u as the patient have every right to request a copy of ur operative report (from the hospital) & i would... it might not answer every question but it can give u a general idea of the flow if things & then u will have an idea of what, if any, questions u need to ask ur surgeon... Best of luck to u!

    Just curious!

Also depends alot on the jeans... brand, cut, etc... i fit into a sz 14 old navy jeans on black friday, right around 230#... but still have 20s (also from old navy, but like 8-10yrs old) that still fit (very loose, but not dropping to the floor or anything)... weird! And ive been down to 220 @ one point before n never worn a 14 in my life until now... lol... i also have other sz 14 jeans n dress pants that dont fit (like 4-6 inches til i can zip them... so many places vanity sz now & ever maker does it a little differently... its almost like sizes r not standard measurements any more, each company just does what they want...
  5. As long as ur daughter isn't crushin on him I dont think it should b a problem!
  6. I know ive seen other posters refuse because of the possibility of dumping... i would ask them if i can get out of it... maybe u could get a home monitor n test instead for say 2wks... i believe thats what she did... id tell them ur OBVIOUSLY not in gestational diabetes! And have done 2 that should be sufficient... Also i wouldnt worry too much about the 67... hopefully if u get a monitor, you'll have it to be safe... but it sounds like reactive hypoglycemia... i assume u dont eat a lot of carbs, being a sleever... so all that sugar in the drink (esp on top of a pastry ) just threw ur system for a loop n it got over excited and made too much insulin... id think the WORST thing u could do is go shock it again! Try explaining that to them n see what they say... i wouldnt risk ur job but if they understood more maybe theyd b satisfied In the mean time... no carb binges for u! Lol Good luck!!!

Why Cant We Have Red Gatorade ?

Oh honey, our gi specialist & peds gi surgeon do follow the rule... thats what IVs r for... all im saying is, to each his/her own... but u have no business mocking someone else's belief without a legit reason...

Why Cant We Have Red Gatorade ?

Exactly... cuz thats what it seemed like... anyways... actually an upper gi bleed or old blood would be tarry/ black... but a lower gi bleed from an ulcer or perf can easily be bright red... as well as in the vomit... thus y we often have the "no red" rule... I do apologize if i sounded like an ass ... the way i read ur post was that we were being rediculous n since ur dr didnt carr tge op should do whatever she wants ... so i was simply defending my position... #nopantiesimabunchhere... lol

Why Cant We Have Red Gatorade ?

I think they prob mean right after surgery... we have ppl avoid anything red... gatorade, jello, popsickles, etc... bacause if u vomit or have diarrhea n see red u may freak out ir it may mask a true bleed (thinking its just ur gatorade)... i think after a week or so u should b fine but i would double check with ur dr or NUT

    Crying.

Also just to add... estrogen is stored in fat cells... so with rapid fat loss comes rapid release of all that estrogen :-) All those hormones with the major life change! I cried more times than a few... lol

    Anyone Have United Healthcare?

I have uhc n was covered with a bmi over 40, would've been with 35-39 & 2 co-morbidities too... but from what ive heard, its not the company that decides ur coverage & what requirements u must meet (ie: bmi, diet attempts, etc), but actually ur employer decides what specs they want written into ur policy... i called 3 times n spoke to diff reps just to make sure i got the same answer from each... lol... **good luck!!!**
