wanting to go back to a normal life

It will get better. I understand TOTALLY. When I get like this I just reach out, like I'm doing now. I go on YouTube and look up ppl progress for motivation. I understand not being able to eat, BUT it will get better. You did make it out of recovery, so there is hope for tomorrow and the next day... Trust me I can't handle too much at this time and I want to eat sooo bad. I will pray that everything go well for you. Keep fighting......

    I officially HATE protein shakes!

I do too. Pre op I LOVE Glucerna Hunger Smart, now, OMG.... I got to get in some protein somewhere. I am so hungry thou. Maybe I just need to stop thinking about food. It was a big part of my life.
  3. I have been so hungry. I eat a can of soup, 1 Greek yogurt, and 3 popsicles a day. I try to drink the protein drinks but I can't stomach them. I want sooo bad so fries, chicken, or eggs SOMETHING. I am still on liquids. I'm 12 days post op and it seem like a month. Fluids really bothers me. I only lost 7lbsand have no energy. BUT no PAIN! Please give me some tips. Thanks

    Day 4 Post OP

Maybe you need to sip slower. I had to learn that. I'm 5 days post op. I still have pain on the left side of one of the incisions. I also have itching as well. Do your incentive spirometer as often as you can.
  6. I also have pain and it hurts to cough. I am 5 days post op. I can not function without assistant. I need help getting up and lying in bed. My husband think I should be doing better. I walk around the house and I use a heat pad. I am getting depress what can I do. My incision site on the left hurts really bad. It also drains a lot.
