  1. 8 oz skim milk, 1 keurig cup Caramel Vanilla Green Mountain Coffee (makes about 8oz) cooled in fridge (make it night before), 1 tablespoon of Torani Sugar Free Caramel Syrup, 1 scoop Vanilla Protein, Ice Cubes. MIX. Tastes like Starbucks, I swear, with no guilt. 32 grams of protein. And takes me about half the am to drink.
  2. My family makes Breakfast casserole when we are expecting company to stay over or holiday brunches, even just a Sunday morning breakfast among our intermediate family. This past weekend, we had guests staying with us for a wedding, so for Sunday morning breakfast, I made a breakfast casserole that was "sleeve friendly" It's a great recipe because it is pre-made the evening before and then in the morning, you can just throw it in the oven and enjoy your company and coffee. Feel free to add things to your liking, tomatoes, mushrooms, etc. It's SUPER versatile. It is IMPORTANT that the casserole sit in the fridge a few hours...the half and half works its magic with the eggs and makes it super light and fluffy. When I did the count for Protein per slice (this makes 12 slices), it was 13 grams of protein per slice, a slice is very filling, I was able to eat most of it. Ingredients: 12 eggs (you could use Eggbeaters if preferred) 1/2 green bell pepper (small dice) 1 small sweet yellow onion (small dice) 1 tablespoon dried oregano 1 tablespoon dried parsley 3/4 cup Fat Free Half and Half 3/4 cup reduced fat cheddar cheese Reduced Fat Jimmy Dean Sausage (12 oz = 1 package) <you could substitute turkey or chicken sausage, turkey bacon would be great too> Salt and Pepper to your liking Saute the green pepper and onion in a pan that was spritzed with a little nonstick cooking spray for just 2- 3 minutes. Add your sausage and brown with the vegetables until thoroughly cooked. Add the parsley and oregano and stir. (If using pre-cooked links, just chop them and toss in with vegetables to heat through, if using turkey bacon...just cook and them crumble in with the vegetables). Allow to cool for a bit (so you dont scramble the eggs) Spray nonstick cooking spray into a 9 by 13 glass dish (I believe that is the size I used...same size as lasagna dish). Use a whisk to beat all 12 eggs in a bowl. Add half and half and cheese and whisk together. Combine the sausage/veggie mix with the egg mixture and distribute into glass dish. Foil or lid the baking dish and allow to sit in the refrigerator overnight. Bake the next morning at 350 for 45 minutes - 1 hour. Check like you would a cake, if the pan jiggles, it isnt done. Insert a toothpick in the center. If it's clean, it's done

    Breakfast Casserole Om Nom Nom

I have never tried it with all egg whites, but I'm sure you could. I have done it with like 6 whole regular eggs and then used 8 egg whites instead of 6 more regular eggs and that worked out great too.
  4. Well I didn't buy them in his office but still. lol I have an appt tomorrow, so I will be taking one with me and asking LOTS of questions. lol I love how you picked hair salons when Im working on my cosmetology license. oh goodness.

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call

Girl, I havent lost any weight this week. I have NO IDEA why, Im assuming something to do with Water weight or something. idk, Im definently gonna talk to the doctor about it tomorrow cuz it FREAKED me out this am. I find that I am now OBSESSED with the scale. I need to like...lock it up week by week.
  6. REALLY?! well now I've sat there and looked at the bottle, it doesn't give a percentage but yeah I spose that's true. My doctor told me these were the better option, hell, he sells them at his practice. I used them the first week. I havent used them since then but REALLY!? WTH? lol I need to do some research now. Why would the doctor suggest them though? lol
  7. The Vitamin Shoppe. If you don't have one near you, I know they have a website you can order from and the orders are supposed to go out same day and if u spend $25, shipping is free. I've heard GNC sells them too.

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call

I will be 2 weeks post op tomorrow I am tolerating things very well, I have yet to get sick or anything. I had 2 days of nausea after surgery but that was about it. The dermabond on my incisions is starting to peel away and starting to itch a tad. I have lost 24 pounds thus far, with pre-op diet and my first week of weight loss. My 2 weeks appt is tomorrow, so Im kinda anxious to see what the doc has to say. Good luck to yall

    Isopure...gross!

I opted for the whey protein bullet things. Got mine from The Vitamin Shoppe. only 3.8 ounces for 42 grams of protein and they taste great mixed with flavored water. The thing with Isopure is it leaves that nasty filmy taste in your mouth...this did not that for me.
  10. Fruit punch and Watermelon were my favs. Mixing the fruit punch with some diet V8 and water to dillute it...TASTED GREAT. none of that funky protein after taste.

    Wls To Cure Infertility?

This is definently a factor for myself when deciding to have surgery. I have had 2 periods in the last 4 years. The only time I had ever ben able to have a regular cycle was with birth control which totally defeats the purpose of getting pregnant. Im only 23 and currently single but I am scared to death that one day I wont be able to have a family. I do have PCOS, I was diagnosed when I 16 and still hadn't started my period. I know that the excess weight is holding me back. I have faith that when I get to this place in my life, I will be able to have a family and be healthy and active. It's nice knowing that there are other women who feel the same.

How The Hell Do You Drink Isopure?

I didn't drink Isopure AT ALL when I was on clear liquids. I opted for whey protein isolate bullets. They are 3.8 fluid ounces and contain 42 grams of protein. I got them from The Vitamin Shoppe. I would mix them with vitamin water, Diet V8, and crystal light. So I was getting my water and my protein in with one swoop. It didnt even notice it tasted like anything other than Crystal light or fruit punch or whatever flavor it was I was mixing. my fav combo was the fruit punch flavored protein with Diet Tropical Blend V8 with water...otherwise it was too sweet for me. But Im telling you...it was sooooooo tolerable. It wasnt even a hastle.
  14. Don't be a nervous wreck! Surprisingly, I wasn't all that nervous the days before surgery but the emotions hit me before they took me into the operating room. It's an emotional process, but it is soooooo worth it. Keep your goal in mind. Remember why you chose to do this and keep your support team with you in the process. You will do fantastic. In the hospital, I kept a calendar my best friend made for me last Christmas, pictures of us and lots of funny and crazy pictures. It kept me at ease. Made me smile. Maybe a photo of the people you love will keep you calm
  15. Currently my morning Protein shake/iced coffee goes like this... One K-cup - (Keurig) Green Mountain vanilla Caramel Coffee (makes about 8oz) 8oz skim milk 1 tbsp sugar free Caramel Torani Syrup 1 scoop vanilla Protein powder 8 ice cubes Takes me all morning to drink it lol cuz it ends up being close to 20 ounces by the time the ice melts and everything but literally tastes like a fancy coffee drink from Starbucks. It is AMAZING.

    New Member

I am currently 10 days post op. My best advice would be to just WALK as much as possible and stay hydrated. That helped me so much. I feel like I have had a fairly quick recovery. Now I am just trying to get used to my new stomach. I am assuming that today is your surgery date as this was posted 2 days. Best of luck to you See you on the flip side.
