Hi Lila,
I really appriciate your list of mistakes. I am going from a lap band to a sleeve on 12/6. I am very concerned about the possibility of leaks. Do you mind telling me how you got a leak? How you knew you had a leak? Most importantly, how soon after surgery did the leak develope? I am especially concerned because I have to travel for my surgery so once I am released from the doctor in Tiajuana MX, I will be returning to Washington state, USA. This means I will no longer be under any doctor supervision. How will I know if there is a problem BEFORE I go home?
Hugs, indigostorm11
It is my understanding that no one will be released from the hospital without a leak test. So if not, don't take no for an answer.

someone in my support group had post op gall bladder pain and the doc said it was from too much fat. She went back on the strict diet again, until she was better. And closely monitors her fats. I would guess it is the same with sugars. Good luck,

26 Days Out, And Can't Eat Much Food At A Time, And Not Much Of An Appetite Either!

I belong to a monthly support group and one of the women who is currently 5 months out, says she eats her 2 oz of protein and is usually full. She ALWAYS eats that first and then starts on a veggie. It was suggested by her nut that she buy a beautiful 6" plate and have every meal on it. That way she will retrain her brain as to portion size and she will start feeeling like she has cleaned her plate. She sets her phone to remind herself to eat regularly because she has little to no appetite..
Good luck.
