  1. It's the total package. Some rock it. Some don't. You rock it.
  2. Too much too soon. food addiction aside, the potential for damage to your healing stomach?!?! Not worth it. I know I'm addicted to food and so I'm planning to join Overeaters Anonymous. Maybe there is one in your area? It couldn't hurt to check. *Disclaimer: I'm not implying you need therapy, just offering a potential solution. Amanda Rae
  3. And I have no issues with Mx either. My Mx experience was amazingly excellent. Amanda Rae
  4. I never once mentioned therapy. Nor have I criticized your choice. The most therapeutic thing I mentioned was listening to the Beatles. Amanda Rae
  5. Hooray for you. I hope you will post more details when you're up to it. A safe and uneventful recovery to you! Amanda Rae
  6. This posted b4 I saw your response. It's a long thread... But I still think the comment rather sucked. I think there are better kinder ways to show support. Amanda Rae
  7. Wow. Way to take a shot "us high BMIers". Smh... This thread is shot and bringing out the worst in people. I dealt with this abuse in high school and now I hear this kind of crap from the people who should have the most sympathy. Bullies are not limited to children.
  8. Why can't the subject be dropped already?!?! Nothing is being accomplished. Nothing at all.
  9. I was sleeved in Mexicali, Mx on 3/18. I started full liquids yesterday. I got in 61g of Protein yesterday and made it up almost 700 calories yesterday. I'm still getting tired early and was a lil dizzy yesterday. Walking around the stores, mall, and the neighborhood regularly. I think I'm doing good with liquids. I sip and sip. So far I've avoided the scale. Weigh in with PCP on Monday. Clothes are already fitting better tho. Amanda Rae
  10. I really like the Beatles. There is a great Lennon/McCartney song which features Paul McCartney on lead vocals... "Let It Be" Amanda Rae
  11. Wow. After reading this thread... Wow. Both sides should really reevaluate their behavior. Big Frank, I get why you were so taken aback by a BMI of 30 resorting to surgery. When I checked how much I would need to weigh to there my 1st thought was, I'd totally rock 205 lbs at 5'9!!! But you're not a woman, Big Frank. And women are punished more than men for being overweight. I did a complete study on this for a sociology project. Also, you don't know if there are any co-morbidities or her family med history. Your initial flabbergasted response did leave something to be desired... In my opinion. But, the Mean Girl Brigade? If Big Frank's comments lacked tact, then yours were downright cruel. As a human being, not just a woman, who topped the scale at a hefty 405 lbs and a BMI of 59 those comments were out of line and hurtful. My feelings were hurt even though they weren't directed at me. That's all I have to say. Amanda Rae
  12. I went to Dr. Aceves in Mexicali, Mx as a self pay. Amanda Rae
  13. It is in house financing. Nina will help you start the process. They do not run a credit check as it is in house. Amanda Rae
  14. I think you will be blown away by how kind and personable Dr. Aceves and crew are. Please pass on a Happy Easter to Dr. Aceves and Dr. Campos from me. Best of luck to you and a safe and uneventful surgery/recovery. Amanda Rae
  15. I think giving it a few months makes sense. Thanks for the feedback. Amanda Rae
  16. I really like to make stir fry. I prefer mine over brown rice. Carbs notwithstanding, will rice be sleeve safe eventually?
  17. It's not a myth. It's the rule. But for every rule, there are exceptions. There are benefits to slow and steady weight loss. Your body has time to adjust and your lose skin can firm up better. http://www.livestrong.com/article/406097-why-do-overweight-people-lose-weight-faster/ Amanda Rae
