  1. I like decaf iced tea sweetened with Splenda w/ fiber. Fiber is sorely lacking and hard to come by with high protein/low carb diets. Especially when you're still on mushies and blended.
  2. I had a leak test during the operation. I slept through that... The blue dye test the day after the operation which allowed me to start having liquids. Dr. Aceves even took a pic of my blue tongue! Then the barium swallow, with the adorable Dr. Campos guiding me, on the 3rd day with the x-ray which allowed me to upgrade my liquids to their yummy chicken broth. My drain was emptied and a description of the contents noted and measured. The drain was removed, by my BFF Dr. Campos, the day before I was scheduled to leave. Not painful, but kinda unpleasant.
  3. Most Mx surgeons I spoke with during my research asked me if I smoked (not for 8 years this July) and would have required me to quit at least a month preop if I was still a smoker. Thankfully, smoking is but a memory I prefer not to revisit.
  4. For me the pain was minimal and I stopped taking pain meds the 2nd day. The nausea/vomiting immediately after waking was the worst part. The pain in my neck and back from throwing up hurt more than the incisions themselves.
  5. To me it tasted like spices and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Adding pumpkin sounds yummy.
  7. Adding pumpkin sounds yummy.
  8. I have applesauce. I may try that tomorrow.
  9. I haven't had cottage cheese in years and I did not remember it fondly... But in the interest of quality Protein and much needed Fiber I bought Fiber One cottage cheese to try. I liked it. Would it be good with some salsa added do you think?
  10. Cat woman is cool but ever since I was a little girl i wanted to be Wonder Woman! :-D
  11. 90% of the guys on True Blood.
  12. I had trouble focusing on my barium swallow leak test because Dr. Campos was standing right beside me and I was lost in Crush-land. Seriously though, Dr. Campos stood patiently with me while I sipped. I think I took 3-4 sips. It was neat. #unrequittedcrush
  13. They didn't check your drain other than for the leak test? Mine was emptied and measured daily at Almater Hospital. But if I remember you were underwhelmed by Mi Doctor, right?
  14. Way. I've loved him since I was 6 years old when the Three Amigos came out in 1986. Lol
  15. I am 3.5 weeks postop and I'm struggling to get 700 calories in a day. Per MFP I should be successful today. I'm still working to balance plenty of water and eating. I don't want to stay this low. It's better for losing to ease up and provide proper fuel.
  16. My first big crush? And I still love him! :-D
  17. Good idea. Many satisfied Mexi-Sleevers on here.
  18. I'm 3.5 weeks postop. Sarge (my sleeve) and I are getting to know each other as my food stages progress. Such as we're not ready for mango yet, much to my dismay. I'm not weighing myself very often to avoid obsessing. My motto, if I don't know I'm in a stall, there is no stall! At last count I'm down 30 lbs. I'm pleased. My clothes are loosening up everyday. So far, I'm pleased. :-)
  19. Super hero preference? Uh, duh...
