    Suspicions....

I liken it to a variety of things Location in Mx being a biggie. We have 5 Walmart stores within a 15 mile radius. Prices on the same thing at each Walmart due to the poverty level in the location. Think border towns (TJ) VS resort towns (Cancun) in Mx. Same as here. Also, experience and skill. A new(er) surgeon needs to build a reputation compared to a well established surgeon. Same goes here. And competition. Again think Walmart. Price matching anyone? And venue. A full service hospital (Hospital Angeles) VS and a specialty hospital-esque clinic (Mi Doctor). Same goes here.

    A helpful hint!

    That seems unethical. Like stealing.

    Ibuprofen?

Check with your doc. I was not told I couldn't take it. I do take it only sparingly and only one 200 mg tablet, tho as I've seen so many varying opinions. But as always, check with your doc!!!
  4. I did too. From "local" numbers. I finally told them I've been sleeved. They said to keep them in mind for plastics. Yeah. Right.
  5. There is a good chance Medical Tourism may be in my future for nips and tucks. I plan to reach out to my WLS for advisement but I plan to research on my own as well. I'm a bit of a planner so I'm researching now. I came across a very alarming article from this past July about a facility that performs both WLS and plastic surgery. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/die-cheap-plastic-surgery-article-1.1395106
  6. Many people have VSG surgery at Jerusalem Hospital.

I can only PM a "friend" from the app.

    VSG to DS

Would a duodenal switch sub forum be possible? Since VSG as a stand alone is DS's cousin.

    300's

My high weight at the 1st of the year was 405lbs. My surgery was on 3/18/13. I'm at 296lbs.

    The flexible "like" button...

When AOL was Internet king and Windows 95 was cutting edge I was learning online lingo. I kept trying to pronounce ROTFLMAO and its kindred. *sigh*

    The flexible "like" button...

How about a "sigh" option? I'd use that one a lot.

    Adventures in Brussels Sprouts

It's not the prettiest dish I've ever made but its tasty and filling. Well balanced. I've included MFP nutritional info as it calculated for me sans Pasta. I made it as "serves 8" and could eat about a half-ish serving over an hour and a half.

    The flexible "like" button...

I agree. I take the "like" option as an opportunity for a show of solidarity.

    Keeping surgery a secret...?

I've been completely transparent about having WLS.

    "Hair" Today, Gone Tomorrow...

Hardly any shedding this morning. The color is not as "vibrant" as I'd hoped. Idk if its a bad batch or my hair is not receptive to the change....

    "Hair" Today, Gone Tomorrow...

Heavier shedding than usual but not the heaviest it's been. Overall I'm calling it a success.

I'm taking the leap and coloring my hair! Hopefully no more shedding.

    Pictures of Tijuana Surgery Journey

The hospital may be a teaching hospital which would explain for the young-ish staff. I believe Almater is a teaching hospital as well.
