Need support not doing the right things at 3 weeks pre op
AmandaRaeLeo replied to FRED1977's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is a sincere question asked with neither malice or judgement, but I add the disclaimer because tone is subjective. And we sleeved can be rather sensitive. Are you looking for absolution or a help up/guidance? -
Looking older after weight loss
AmandaRaeLeo replied to Im14fun's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well I've always looked like a kid. It's genetic. My mom and my sisters look younger than their years. I get carded all the time. I'm hoping the weight loss doesn't age me. So far it hasn't. But even if it did, it is so worth it to have the health and energy of a younger person. -
I stick mostly with Quest. They seem to meet all my needs and hit the spot taste wise without inspiring a binge. Atkins bars are good too. I can eat a whole Quest bar in one sitting. It takes me about 20 minutes.

What did your doc and/or NUT say? I ask because many people were advised different things by their WLS medical professional. I was told when I was on solid foods, 30+ days. White wine burns.

Help deciding between Dr. Ortiz and Dr. Aveces
AmandaRaeLeo replied to ktgrace's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I went with Dr. Aceves back in March and I couldn't be more pleased with my care. Here is a link to my experience. Once I was home and settled I wanted to share every last detail. I am not a coordinator. I do not get paid for referrals. I give you my word. I just put a lot of thought and time into sharing the details of my journey to pay it forward and helping others find peace of mind while making this decision. http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/74149-dr-aceves-mexicali-and-me/ Good luck making your decision. :-) -

Dunkin Donut's Wake-up Wraps are great. Lots of protein. Who knew?

I was farting and sharting and even passed a buffalo (not a pun) almost immediately. I have had days where I've been a bit constipated since, but for the most part my body has found a rhythm.

You're welcome of course. That last thing we need is smoke and mirrors while we're researching this.
