    Weight loss

Starting weight 315, surgery 294 and today 237. Tomorrow will be 4 months post op
  2. Personally I would conquer it. It's something that will taunt you no matter where you go. I have tons of snacks at work and I have to make the choice to stick to the plan.
  3. I started my pre op at 315, I was 294 day of surgery and I am 241 today. Surgery was Feb 4th.

    jerky?

I was cleared for a regular diet after 10 days post op. I just had to chew very well. I started beef jerky around 1 month post op and I've never had an issue.
  5. My hair started falling out at 2.5 months post op. I am now 3.5 months and its kicked up even more. I lost tons this morning when I washed it. I make sure to not mess with my hair a lot. That might be why i have a lot of loss on hair wash days. I have a lot of hair and its baby fine, it is now starting to be noticeable to people who know me. Hopefully it stops soon.
  6. Mine was covered 100%. I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket. Blessed

    Sleevers over 300lbs?

Started at 315, surgery was 294, and 15 weeks post op I am 243.
  8. I meant to add the premier are 160 calories, 5 carb and 30 grams of protein. Lately I've been buying vanilla and mixing in banana extract.
  9. I use premier protein from SAMs club ( Costco also sells them) I use to use the go lean but I don't like them post op.
  10. I'm not in LA, but pretty close. Biloxi, MS

    Apps to help count protein/calories

I use a program called lose it. I didn't care for my fitness pal. I think it's personal preference.

    Unjury?

Once a day I make a protein drink with unflavored protein. Right now I am drinking 16oz of water, isopure unflavored and sugar free lemonade. I bought more injury And it should be delivered today. They all have a semi funk but it's not terrible. My best advice is to mix with lots of water. The more water the less I can taste the protein. I was doing 8oz drinks and gagging the entire time. Now I've upped it to 16oz, it's way better.

What did you eat today :) ?

3 months post op Breakfast- premier Protein shake Snack- beef jerky Lunch- 4 grilled nugs from chick fil a Snack- Isopure shake ( unflavored mixed with lemonade. Dinner- 1/2 Mexican pizza from Taco Bell Snack- jerky
  14. I haven't read all of the posts yet but I had extract. I currently love banana extract in the vanilla and I use mint extract in the chocolate. I take them to work every morning. I also love how easy it is to open the cap, pour, put the cap back on, shake and it's done. No crazy mixing needed.
  15. I use a straw and it cuts down the smell. ( no worries, my nut and surgeon said straws are fine for me)
  16. Hey Guys, Sleeved 2/4 and I am down 70lbs ( pre and post). Been hanging around the same weight for about a week now so I have upped my protein. I also upped it since my hair is falling out. I always got the 60g but now my nut said I can try for 80-100g. I still can't eat a lot...Duh, reason for the surgery. I can eat 1 oz of protein at a time. This really limits how much protein I can get. Until yesterday. I went to chick fil a and they have grilled nuggets. So yummy, 4 pieces are 80 calories and 17g of protein. I bought 3 bowls today so I can eat them at work the next few days. They are small and really pack an awesome protein punch. I also mix unflavored whey protein ( isopure or unjury) with water and fruit flavored packets. It's decent and I love that I can change the flavor every time I make it. I haven't been a fan of any fruit protein drinks until I started doing this. ( lemonade is also good) Just wanted to give some ideas to anyone who might be struggling with protein. I love hearing about everyone journeys, can't wait to see what the future holds.

    Black tea

I had another nut apt, post op a little more than 3.5 months. She said tea is fine. They put a blanket rule out there because some people will only drink caffeinated beverages and they worry about dehydration.

    tricare?

I was sleeved at a MTF, no out of pocket costs. The surgeons were fantastic.
  20. My surgeon only requires a daily multi. I've had blood work done at every appointment and everything has always been at their perfect levels. At first I tried to take tons of vitamins but my surgeon said that they are not necessary with the sleeve. He only requires it with his bypass patients.

    How much

I will be 4 months on June 4th. I can eat 1 oz of protein per meal. In the mornings I drink premier protein and have to split it in half. It's my breakfast and a snack later.
  22. Awesome job, I came ok to update and you and I share some cool stats. I was also sleeved 2/4 and today I reached a loss of 70lbs. Currently 244
  23. Woot woot, tomorrow makes 11 weeks out, 61 pounds down. I have so much more energy. I also notice I get more "hello, hi, how are you" and small talk from the opposite sex. I am Not sure if its the weight loss or the confidence boost. One downfall is I hate growing out of clothes. I am constantly in a state of too big or too tight. Once I find a pair of pants that fit well, I grow out of them. I never thought this would bother me but it does. Silly me. I have been enjoying all my old clothes I had saved. It makes it not so bad when I didn't have to buy new pants each time. How is everyone else doing? Hope all is well.
  24. Mine are like clockwork. The only difference is they are heavier and last longer. I do drop a good 5 pounds during that time.
