  3. I go to the puree stage for 1 - 2 wks and then to soft foods. I have 2 more wks on liquids, so ready for some solids and something to chew
  4. My dr said full liquids for 6 wks postop to make sure my pouch is fully healed. It is very hard, if you count the 2 wk preop liquid diet that is 2 months on liquids. I am down 34 pounds since my surgery april 29th
  5. Yes, I am thirsty as well and my throat feels swollen. I thought it was my acid reflux meds so I quit taking it and it seems better. I cant believe I am on full liquids for 6 wks post op. So ready for puree'd

  11. Speaking of the drain pouch, how do they remove it. Do they just pull it out and what about the hole left afterwards? I cant wait for it to be removed.
  12. Do you take pepcid everyday. I have a prescription my doc gave me to take 2 times a day. Maybe that would help your chest pain/indegestion
  13. I am 4 days post op and bought the sampler pkg from bjs bariatrics. I mixed the carribean cooler with water as it said to do and it was disgusting. Does anyone know anything good to try?
  14. Postop day 4, doing pretty good for the most part. I tried to drink an optifast protein shake and it gave me horrible diarrhea. Cant wait to get this drain tube out as well.

  16. I had surgery on the 29th and that evening gave me a suppository. On tues gave me a stool softener and I went tues evening. I came home last night about 6 pm
  17. Is everything ok. I have surgery tomorrow and suppose to go home on wednesday

  19. Thank you, I feel like I have been so emotional like someone has died. I havent told my parents yet because they will probably not agree with my choice only my husband and kids know. Maybe I will feel better getting it off my chest cuz I know I wouldnt feel right going thru this type of surgery and them not knowing.

  22. I was just at walmart and didnt see gas x strips, do they desolve? Probably cant do chewables

  24. I can relate. I am day 4 of my pre-op diet and feel exhausted. My surgery is april 29 and have been a little emotional. I just think how much better I am going to feel and what a better quality of life I will have.
  25. I just got approved. My surgery is April 29th and I am nervous. Start my pre-op diet on the 15th
