I have come accursed more people that are overweight then are skinny that get upset when I told them I had surgery. I don’t know what is and why it is but it’s weird for sure. Just be you. You did this for you not them. I tell everyone about the surgery and have found that more people support me or are interested in it then questioning my decision. If they don’t like it oh well it’s my life not theirs.

I mostly keep my mouth shut when it comes to religious subjects unless they are verbally attacking a group of people in a public place. Then I tend to speak my mind. Ita one thing to do it behind closed doors but not in a public area where you have people around that you could be hurting with out knowing. Also when I am asked about my religion I am open to say I non-religious. Then I tend to get a lot of mean comments and bombarded with question after question. Most of the time they get mad when they are asked the same questions. Maybe because I still young and haven't delt with it as much as others and tend to be more stand my ground then most. I treat everyone with reapect till they disreapect me. I don't judge people on their religion. Like I said above I have heard many of bad things yelled my way and also have had damage done to my car because of a evolution sticker. I don't going around doing this to religious people. I hear that athiest are evil, etc. But I have seen more done towards me in the name of religion then I have seen from people that are non-religious.

Christmas was a pagan holiday before christians took it over Thanksgiving, 4th of july, memorial day, and halloween are not religious holidays So I don't see your dads point of view on this.

This story was posted in a atheist group on facebook with mixed results. Some say it was a good thing and like the idea. Others said that why do we need a monument and act like a religion which we are not. I agree with both sides. We are not a religion and should act like one. We are just like minded people that don't believe that a higher power created us. On the other side I guess some people have to support what we stand for because if we don't we will always be outcasts. Thats how I feel every time I am questioned about it and I have to explain myself.

Butter, Not sure what one you read about but there have been a few of them. There is one in a war vet cemetery that was made for the non religious that died in the trenches of war. There was also another one placed on government ground at a courthouse. A religious group put up a monument on the property then protested when the courts allowed the non-religious group to do the same. In the end the non-religious group was allowed to put there monument up as well. It has been defaced 3 times that I know of. But the religious one has never been touched. Why can one group of people demand so much and get so much but react over another group of people getting the same thing. It is sad really and is one of the reasons I don't like organized religion. I have been called names and my car keyed over my evolution sticker on my car. Religious people are wonderful. lol.

Agreed we cant vent, rant, or rave here without having the thread locked. Kinda of sad the abuse of higher ranked members and some mods on here. If they don't like it they lock it but when it is a issue but they like it its fine no issue,.

But this is the Rant and Rave room. This is where we should post this type of post. Just like the religious post posted in the anything goes room. People didn't like that post but nothing was done because it was posted in the right area. So this is posted in the Rant and Rave section and people don't like it. So why should this be taken down or removed or have him reported? But I guess its a double standard?

I have reported posts a few times where i felt attacked or mocked and never heard anything back. The one time I did hear back I was told they had the right to speak their mind and it was their opinion. I guess when its my opinion or opinions I agree with its wrong and I cant defend my opinion or the opinion I agree with when attacked. Good to know. I guess I need more rep points.

I think its pretty funny that people are reading and posting on this thread about if you don't like other threads don't read them and scroll by them. But then people complain about this thread saying they don't like it are reading it and posting comments. I guess your scroll function has stopped working. Everyone has a opinion if you don't like it thats ok. but don't give people advice if you don't follow said advice.

Same here. I tell random people some times when it comes up. Las night out at a bar and this guy kept getting on me about drinking Water. Then I said something to him about the surgery. I spent 30mins talking to him about it because he was a big guy and wanted to lose weight. lol.

I agree %100. I am tired of seeing "I am X weeks out can I have pizza, soda, cookies, etc.".

I am 6 months out and still can't do full mouth fulls of liquids without having tightness in the chest. you should be doing sips not mouthfuls. seems like a good way to hurt yourself.

I can agree with you to a point but I think the increase of violence is caused by money or the lack thereof and the lack of educated people. We have people living off the system spitting out babies left and right with no intent of raising them right. They are given no reason to work because they get free health care, food stamps, food credits, free phones and computers, cars that are way better than my own, and free housing. The average working person can't even have half of this. The system is failing. I don't see violence being a religious or non religious issue because there are a lot of people, religious and nonreligious, that can't support themselves and don't care to do so because they are given everything they need. As the system starts to fail the people that were given everything no longer are getting it and they don't have the education or skills to find a job to support them or their family. They then turn to stealing, drugs, and other violent crimes. This is my opinion and not saying its right this is just how I see it.

I did a 5k obsticale race last weekend (Savage Race). I used the Zombies, Run 5k app to get me running. It gets you ready for a 5k in 8 weeks. It has a really good story to it as well.

Gmanbat- when was the last time you seen someone post a atheism thread on the forums? When the last time you got a knock on your door by atheists looking to spread the good word? When was the last time athiest protested at a soldiers funnel or even a kids funnel? I see more Christians pushing there religion on others then I do atheists pushing no religion. I have had my car window broke in and my car keyed because I have a evolution sticker on my car. You don't see me doing this to people who have religious stickers on there cars. The bible say love thy neighbor and to not pass judgment for that is his job. But yet I get called names when getting into my car by Christians because of a sticker. So I am sorry that I am using the bible that Christians say they follow to defend myself.

Ab- thats the big issue most christrians have neve read the bible and pick and choose what they want to follow. I know more athiest that have read the bible then christians that have read the whole bible.

Well if I am wrong when I die I hope I am judged by the way I lived my life and not for the fact I didn’t worship one of the 1000's of gods that have been worshiped since man came to be. How can you be sure the god you worship is the one true god and not the god other religions or cultures worshiped? The bible talks about giant sea creatures (Leviathan), Dragons, Unicorns, A talking snake and donkey, a talking bush, horses with heads of lions (200 horses man), etc. I could go on. Do you believe all this to be true? They are all in the bible. Other things the bible forbids but still I see many Christians doing so: -Scaring their skin (tattoos) I see many people with cross tattoos -Trimming your hear on your head or beard -palm reading or reading your horoscope is a sin -If your kid back talks you, you should kill them -No working in Sundays -Women should not talk and should stay quit in church and in home -Eating sea food (shrimp, crab, lobster) is a no no -Woman who are not a virgins when married shall be put to death -Slavery is fine -No divorce So I guess most Christian just look past all this stuff. I guess you can go say 5 Hail Mary’s and all will be forgiven. This is why I don’t follow religion at all. I am not trying to start a forum war I am just to post why I don’t believe and why more and more people are leaving religions.

Gmanbat- Joseph Stalin attended a Georgian Orthodox (Christian) seminary to train as a priest. He was expelled before his finals and it seems that his fees were not paid. He was very much so a Christian and did a lot under the christian religion and gods name. There are a lot of evidence that says he was Atheist and even if he was he didn't kill people because hes was Atheist or Christian he did it for power. Anyone can go to Wiki and copy and paste to the forum but history books say different. you have to realize that anyone can go onto wiki and change information to make it fit what they want it to say. Ill stick with what I was taught in school. Yes, I am an Atheist and I do a lot to help people and be the best person I can be. I don't need to be religious to know what is wrong and what is right and lead a good life. I do this because I want to not because I was told I will be punished if I don't and will be damned to "hell". I also help when can by going out and donating time, not praying and saying i did something when not really doing anything at all. I grew up a catholic and made my first holy communion and confirmation. I don't judge people based on what they believe or don't believe I judge them on who they are and what they do. have a good one.

There is a app like the couch to 5k but has a zombie story to it. It is call Zombies, Run 5K. its a 8 week 5K app with a post zombie world. You are a runner for a town. After you finish the 5k app there is a upgrade to it and its by the same people. It is called Zombies, Run. You are now a full time runner for the town and have to go out looking for supplies for the town,

Visalus shakes only have 12g of Protein per serving. If you are still only a few months out from surgery I wouldn't drink them. You need to get as much protein in as you can and there are other protein powders that give yo 20+ grams of protein per shake. But if you are say a year out and can eat more and able to hit yr protein mark they are good. My friend has did the 90 day challenge and I plan on trying the 90 day challenge as well. Good luck if you do try them but make sure you hit your protein marks.

I tried on from gnc and it was bad. got half of it down and just couldn't do it. Its like a thick syrup.

I am 6 months out and up till lat night haven't taken any kind of pills. I pulled a muscle last week (or bruised muscle, ribs) in my side. It has been a week now and still is really sore and hard to turn when in bed or standing/turning quickly. Last night I took Tylenol Extra Strength and it didn't feel like it helped at all. I am wondering what I can take? or should I go see a doctor and let them know what I cant have? I don't want to take the wrong thing and cause damage.
