I am so happy that I had the sleeve surgery. My life changed almost immediately. I got rid of the C-pak machine for my sleep apnea and no longer take high blood pressure meds! My knees and feet no longer ache from the 207 pounds I was carrying around. And I have discovered that I am tolerating the climate heat like never before. I have actually worked in my flower beds this summer! I am 9 months out from my surgery, weigh 149 ( down 58 pounds)! I want to lose another 14 pounds. My weight loss has been on a stall but I understand what is happening and I am staying on course with exercise and diet. I know that weight loss will continue with my efforts. This experience has been a miracle for me. I just wanted to feel better! My energy level is astonishing! I am loving my sleeve! No regrets at all! It was an answer to a prayer for me!
  2. No you are not alone. I have experienced a stall at 7 months out and even though I am 9 months out now still battle on with the scale...up a pound or down a pound..I am still exercising and watching my diet. I was so glad to hear that I was not alone having this stall. It was a relief really. So just keep on eating healthy and exercise.
  3. Hang in there! It is sooo worth it! I too faced the challenge of having to smell my hubbys meals but I got thru it and never cheated once! I lost 18 pounds on my pre-op diet! You are doing wonderful! Just keep telling yourself you are worth the sacrifice!! I am 9 weeks out from surgery and have lost about 38 pounds total. I feel great and have so much energy! No regrets here at all. Good Luck to you! Keep up the good fight!
  4. Me too!! Hang on!! We'll make it!!
  5. Hey,,I can totally understand your anxiety. My surgery is Monday Sept. 10th. I have been patient and gone thru all the testing required. I have made pros and cons lists. Many. But you know what the truth is.... I really just want to feel better. As Chris54 said...try to be encouraged. I am sooo ready to get this behind me and just feel better.
  6. I recently experienced hair loss from a thyroid condition. My hair got very thin....and my hairdresser suggested I try Biotin. I have taken it over 2 months now. After two weeks I noticed my hair was coming back. This stuff works. You can get it at GNC. I will continue to take it after my surgery too. Hope this helps. I had also read that primrose oil was good for hair loss too but I cannot say for sure.
