Tomorrow is my last appointment with my nutritionist!!! I have done my psych and endoscopy, blood work and pcp letter so hopefully I can schedule soon!!! I'm having the surgery at NYU hospital in NYC. Now that it's getting closer I'm getting nervous and excited!! Tomorrow I speak to the surgeon as well what questions should I be asking at this point? Help please!

I would ask when should you start taking vitamins, which ones should be liquid and which chewables, and how much of each you need per day. I would also ask him/her to go over what foods you can have during each stage and ask for some suggested brands of those foods.

You might ask if your surgeon provides you with an abdominal binder to wear after the surgery. Some surgeons don't. My surgeon did. It really helps in recovery time...and mainly gives you support which is helpful in getting in and out of bed and just walking around after the surgery. It helps with pain management. If you have to go back to work right away after surgery...the binder will keep you comfortable. Good Luck!!
