  1. Email those companies....they all send out free samples if you request them.
  2. He will have to co sign for you for you to be able to use it.
  3. All we are doing during each visit is making goals getting ready for surgery an starting new habits. Each visit we target a bad behavior and begin something new. On the 1st visit I was supposed to stop sodas before my next visit and start a multivitamin. 2nd visit I was supposed to stop eating pasta rice and bread and begin walking. 3rd visit portion control, trying to stop going back for seconds. And sticking to 3 meals with small healthy snacks. 4th visit we will see......and so on until the last visit. But at each visit I have been told do not go below such and such....its all about getting ready for the surgery and showing you can create new healthy habits and stick to them through maintenance. Create a new lifestyle.
  4. I was specifically told not to lose any wgt on the 6 month diet or I would not be approved.
  5. Dr. Alvarez has an excellent reputation and has an excellent surgical record. One of the best surgeons in MX and had done more surgeons then most of you US surgeons. Search his name here and read his patients reviews. He also has a YouTube page and you can watch his videos and submit questions which he will personally answer. He has a weekly radio show which you can do the same. And as for other doctors in MX there are many very qualified doctors in Mexico. So research here ask questions and you will find many happy VSG patients of docs in MX. To list a few docs that have great reputations. Dr. Alvarez Dr. Aceves Dr. Lopez Dr. Garcia Dr. Kelly And there are many more just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Of course as in any country there are some not so great surgeons also. So check them out of course. Ppl here are very willing to share their experience of surgery in MX.
  6. My BMI is on the line and I was told not to lose any wgt in the 6 month diet.
  7. If you take too much fiber with out enough water you are just causing more problems.
  8. Another apple shape here, which is the most unhealthy body type. Puts you at greater risk for cardiovascular disease, strokes, and metabolic disorders. All my fat is in the middle and my boobies. Lol. I was once told by a cousin I looked like a potato with toothpicks for arms and legs. I also have that noassatall disease. So my pants all have to be big to fit my belly and that makes them way to Baggie in the legs and a**. Have such a hard time finding pants. I am 5'2 an weigh right at 200 lbs. I am STILL pre op. some days it seems like that is taking FOREVER.....anyway I am so ready to get this weight off and be healthy again.
  9. I just checked she hasn't posted in YouTube either. I hope her aunt quit giving her a hard time and took her to the ER. I can't imagine my sister treating my child that way. Chicka, we are worried about you...,hope you're ok. Let us know what's going on soon as you can...
  10. Yes I am getting sleeved but y'all will be ahead of me. My date isn't until September. Seems like so far away still. I am so ready to get this done and over with and begin my new HAPPY_HEALTHY_TERRIFIC life!!! Glad to see there are others in the area....we should keep in touch and support each other through this.....
  11. That's right another RN here.
  12. This upsets me for some very personal reasons. I am heartsick over it. And feel I should leave this site for a while. I too will use my FB support groups for further support for now. No drama there. I won't be suggesting to friends, family, or patients that they consider MX anymore. I don't wanna feel responsible for things that may happen there under the noises of ppl who should be protecting their patients.
  13. I feel by now a lot of ppl have figure out who the Op is. Please know you will still get support here. Don't be afraid. If you need someone to talk to PM me. Or any of your supporters. We can be there for you. No questions asked. I have a daughter if she needed help I would hope someone would be there for her. Sorry I made the comment about Karma. This CRAP sucks!!!! No one deserves this.
  14. Exactly, what if this was one of your love ones would you still feel like this was really no big deal?
  15. I hope it's not the case (because I hope our forum wouldnt delete something like this) but I am thinking either the OP decided it wasn't a good idea after all or the "Doctor" and again I use that term loosely, complained.
  16. If he has done it once or twice he has done it over and over. Think about how many patients they see a thousand per year, conservatively. How many women has he taken advantage of? Daunting thinking about it.
  17. They just had to agree to disagree couldnt make some understand why this is wrong.
  18. Sure he waits for them to bite the hook. If they do he reels them in hook line and sinker then throws them back when finished with them. Some young women may not be stable enough to handle this. Could lead to something very destructive. Even more so then the post from last night. I hope these women can find some peace and deal with what has happened. We don't know their mind set or what their actual experience has been. I hope he is dealt with.
  19. Big difference in complimenting patients and sleeping with them while they are under his care.
