  1. Thanks!! No I haven't had any babies yet you will look like me and smaller in no time!! Good luck!!
  2. Thanks everyone!! Your encouragement means so much to me
  3. All I can give you is my experience and I'm only in my 3rd month (ill list my stats at the bottom).. I eat Protein first then whatever I want, but sometimes the protein can be too heavy so I'll just eat the veggie or whatever. I'm sure there may come a point that you can do both, but at this stage and for at least the next while I would stick to that because of the Vitamins etc that you need to maintain muscle and all that good stuff while you're losing drastically. There are tons of people here that are much farther out than me and I'm sure they will give you some better advice about that Pre surgery: 240 lbs Height: 5'-2" Current weight: 188 Date of surgery: 9/4/12 Total loss: 52 lbs
  4. You shouldn't ever drink while eating (or so I'm told) I just have a tiny baby sip if I need to but generally I don't drink with my food anymore.. You really get used to it though
  5. Hi Cat! Welcome to VST! I really hope you find what answers you're looking for here... A few things I can tell you that I don't think I was "ready" for with my surgery is I couldn't really wrap my head around just how little I would be able to eat after... Maybe experiment with portion sizes so you can get an idea also good to start before surgery by not drinking while you eat because you won't be able to after surgery-- just to get used to it not trying to scare ya those are just some adjustments that I had to make because I drank a lot previously
  6. Wow you look great!!! Congrats!!!
  7. Thanks everyone! It hasn't been the most perfect of roads BUT I wouldn't change a thing! I'd do it all over again, I feel like the old me again
  8. Ps. Losing 30 lbs since November and not having weighed in 2 weeks is amazing! Great job!
  9. Thanks guys! The most amazing thing I've come across so far is having to reorder my wedding dress! From a size 22 to a size 10 (that's guess work since I have no idea what size ill be in Feb) they even had to refund me 50$ because I'm not a big girl size anymore!! As far as food I'm not nearly as good as some at counting calories etc, on a normal day I eat: Breakfast: oatmeal (not sugar free just regular old oatmeal) Lunch: mostly meat - so maybe tuna with egg in it on wheat thins Dinner: Lemon baked fish, broccoli or some other veggie I try to get all of my Protein through food because I HATE protein shakes/bars. I don't work out as much as I should with school and work... But when I do i just get on the treadmill and do a little on my arms or legs while I'm there.
  10. Thanks everyone, I kindof love my sleeve
  11. All of the amazing the pics here inspired me to have my surgery so I figured I would also include mine... I haven't looked at myself in a side by side pic yet and I must say even I was shocked (in a good way!) Stats: Pre surgery weight: 240 (the morning of) Size: 18/20 Height: 5'-2 Current weight: 188 Current size: 13/14 Total lost since surgery: 52 lbs (no pre-surgery diet, I was 240 lbs the day I went back for surgery)
