    3 Months-Pics!

Honestly I didn't really try protein that early, my doctor ordered broths and strained Soups at that point just so I Could get something down... Protein came the next week. If its not agreeing maybe try a different type?also there is an unflavored protein that I use by Isopure that you can mix into your soups and broths. I remember feeling terrible on days 3 and 4 even though I had a great recovery it does absolutely get better but I know you're not seeing much past your pain and discomfort right now. Days 5 6 and 7 I woke up feeling remarkably better even going back to work on day 7. Good luck and I hope some of what I've said helps I'm rooting for ya!

    In the early stages...

All I can give you is my experience and I'm only in my 3rd month (ill list my stats at the bottom).. I eat Protein first then whatever I want, but sometimes the protein can be too heavy so I'll just eat the veggie or whatever. I'm sure there may come a point that you can do both, but at this stage and for at least the next while I would stick to that because of the Vitamins etc that you need to maintain muscle and all that good stuff while you're losing drastically. There are tons of people here that are much farther out than me and I'm sure they will give you some better advice about that Pre surgery: 240 lbs Height: 5'-2" Current weight: 188 Date of surgery: 9/4/12 Total loss: 52 lbs

    In the early stages...

You shouldn't ever drink while eating (or so I'm told) I just have a tiny baby sip if I need to but generally I don't drink with my food anymore.. You really get used to it though

    In the early stages...

Hi Cat! Welcome to VST! I really hope you find what answers you're looking for here... A few things I can tell you that I don't think I was "ready" for with my surgery is I couldn't really wrap my head around just how little I would be able to eat after... Maybe experiment with portion sizes so you can get an idea also good to start before surgery by not drinking while you eat because you won't be able to after surgery-- just to get used to it not trying to scare ya those are just some adjustments that I had to make because I drank a lot previously

    3 Months-Pics!

Thanks guys! The most amazing thing I've come across so far is having to reorder my wedding dress! From a size 22 to a size 10 (that's guess work since I have no idea what size ill be in Feb) they even had to refund me 50$ because I'm not a big girl size anymore!! As far as food I'm not nearly as good as some at counting calories etc, on a normal day I eat: Breakfast: oatmeal (not sugar free just regular old oatmeal) Lunch: mostly meat - so maybe tuna with egg in it on wheat thins Dinner: Lemon baked fish, broccoli or some other veggie I try to get all of my Protein through food because I HATE protein shakes/bars. I don't work out as much as I should with school and work... But when I do i just get on the treadmill and do a little on my arms or legs while I'm there.
