She sat in the back of the room
Well, that just made me cry............ I well know who this lady is and what she feels and what she probably has gone through to get to this point of WLS... I think I would have gotten up and sat down beside her and said hello!!!!!! Something similar happened to me when I went for my first follow up...There was a lady...She had to have been 400+. she was however dressed to the 9's and was beautiful... I looked up at her and our eyes caught and I smiled at her...she looked at me and did not respond....I thought to myself, hun...You need what I have just done! I then sat in the waiting room to see my team and she came in with her adoring hubby...They sat away from everyone and as I chatted up a storm with 2 others that had the surgery...I spoke loud enough for her to hear...I said at one point that I admire the strength of anyone who will take their health into their own hands and seek help.... I looked over at her and she smiled wide at me and I smiled back...To this day I wonder how she did.....I hoped all the best for that amazing woman!!!!!!!!So I know where you are coming from.... Not so long ago I too was that woman who never made eye contact and sat in the back of the room.........

SLIP...... Lets be HONEST!
I agree with your comments..We should be prepared for what we think we know about these things...All you said is true...All I know is the " Best laid plans of mice and men: Robert Burns; From Robert Burns' poem To a Mouse, 1786. It tells of how he, while ploughing a field, upturned a mouse's nest. The resulting poem is an apology to the mouse: ... But, Mousie, thou art no thy lane [you aren't alone] In proving foresight may be vain: The best laid schemes o' mice an' men Gang aft a-gley, [often go awry] An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain, For promised joy. That is just the way life is....we work hard very hard to keep going and work toward succeeding and we even make it..But we never follow a straight line..That is ridiculous...We zig zag every where and make it in the end hopefully!!

SLIP...... Lets be HONEST!
Oh to be pre op again with all the fortitude of a brick wall...and all the knowledge to back it up....I was even so bold as to come on here and tell others how they should do it....Naive.. Then the surgery happened and I ran as fast as I could into the wild blue wonder to get this show on the road....Nothing and I mean nothing has gone the way I expected it to... I have slipped, hit walls, fallen off ledges and cried for mercy over this decision I made and every other emotion I can think of I am sure I felt it or worse..will!!!! What was I thinking? I too had it all figured out and was on my way to capture the castle and take no prisoners... What I have learned is that it is a good idea to have a plan to go into this with as much strength as you can muster..Because there is one thing to read about it and another thing to live it..... Everyone is human and we do things every day that we thought we would never do...We make mistakes! We chose poorly and pay for our mistakes by either beating ourselves up over it or denying the entire incident.. Every day brings new challenges and things learned about ourselves and this life long change we are all making...Every day!!! Every single day!!!! So worth it though, because you may just learn somethings about yourself that can change your life for the better and help that inner you to shine true..... Ode to WLS....

I got food-policed at 7.5 months out :(
I like this guy! Well, there goes the rubber hamburger rib. Itching powder? I like him too! It may be one of those endearingly annoying things that our spouses do that we just roll our eyes about and move on without worrying about it too much. I dunno. You guys are funny.....I asked him why he does the snatching more out in a restaurant then at home and he said " You always cook so much more then I can eat at home so I only go for the good stuff at home that is left on your plate.( what does that mean anyway? ..Out it is all tempting because I never get enough to eat when I am out...Look he said I will try to let you finish before I reach over k".. I don't know about you guys but I think he is not going to really change....I think you are right GG endearingly annoying..Yup that describes him to a T!

Dehydration
Yes it does sound awful...i meant that I will drink the fruit punch in a pinch!!! And I like you too...lol

Stall
What is your caloric intake at the moment? .And how much Protein are you eating?
-
Stall
First of all. Protein is the backbone of weight loss esp. with this program...If you are not getting enough nourishment your body will shut you down and in a hurry...It is protecting you from starvation and that is a normal reaction...Nothing strange here.. The less you eat your metabolism slows down as well and fat is restored in the tissues for safe keeping..... Once you start taking in protein and Water and Vitamins..Your body will relax and you will start to lose again... Right now look at it like this..Your body is taking a much needed rest from everything it has endured through this journey so far..Stay on target, and keep going...and soon your body will say..I am still being fed..I am okay and I can release weight.. Don't you think the body is an amazing machine to be able to care for you like this!!! I do! ( I just posted this on another thread that asked almost the same question )

Dehydration
I prefer the orange flavor but can handle the fruit punch too.......Grape yikes!!!! But that is my daughters favorite too.....lol
-
Dehydration
Get some G2 Gatorade and drink some every day..I mix it 1/2 and 1/2 with Water...And after a year out I still drink it every day...Vitamin water too is great... I think I am going to insist on Gatorade giving me some stocks or something...lol No kidding really it works!

Is my FEAR founded?

Asking for Positive Thoughts Please
The first thing you need to do is go to group!!!!!!! Yup I said it..Take responsibility for your actions. Time to quit hiding behind fear and go forward... Yes you are off track and you know it and you feel bad about it... That does not mean you scratch everything you have accomplished... You must fix this by admitting to it at your group and find out if some of them have suggestions that will help you... We are all human and we fall. Then we get up, brush ourselves off and go forward again!!!!!!! You can do this hun....You have done the hardest part by having this surgery in the first place..Going there will be a breeze compared to the fear you had before and during the surgery.....

Fried food
Okay...you can eat a french fry...will you? it is up to you! Is it a good choice of course not and you know better then to even ask..I know you do.. But we are human and will try things that do not sit well with us and things that sit too well with us...You will have to decide for yourself if it is worth it or not.... I have eaten a french fry or two in my journey.....some don't agree with how I see things on this topic...but I am keeping it real and know that this is my life course that I am taking...If anyone says they don't try these. then they fib! I can't eat fried foods very well..they make me sick...I can't even eat Chinese food anymore and that was my personal favorite food in the world.. you may find that you hate fries altogether....who knows!!!!!!!!!! I had a lot of rules for myself going into this journey just like some of the former posters on here..I loved the fortitude I thought I had..take no prisoners..Life does not follow a script..And we don't either....

Onederland! yes!
You go, RJ! You can do it!!!! And you better believe it :-))))))) I really appreciate you, you know that...you are a reminder of what can become of all of us if we believe in ourselves.....And you do it with grace...I thank you for that!!!!!!!!!

Readmitted yesterday :(
Failed, well if you failed then I really, really failed...My time at the hospital was 5 months with complications due to the surgery.... You are really being overly critical of yourself..You are on a path that can and will change your life forever if you use the tool properly......... Maybe a setback but not a fail...you are in good company here as I am not the only one to have suffered a setback...however......I can say this because a little over a year later I am in onederland..That's right and you will be too soon....pick up your head, get back on that horse and stop trying to sabotage yourself already... I really believe that something is worth far more when you have to work for it..Well girl that is you...just keep swimming and give yourself a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
No one ever said..i'm worried about how heavy you are getting!
This woman paid no mind to me before I had surgery neither did a 100 others, but now...they want to get a peak at the new me...and talk about it with their friends....I know these people...They are not happy for me they want to trash me in a different way.....That's okay, they drew first blood! I will win the war over their ignorance!!!!!!
-
It's here! It came! It went. Hm.
No it is not weird at all..you had all the emotion and excitement with the first surgery...You now know that it will be work for you for the rest of your life...You look at this differently...You now know the difference between a miracle cure and hard unrelenting work to stay on board... You got this though..your on your way..I only see good coming out of this...Buck up buttercup and get it going!!!!! I am proud of you for continuing the work to get where you are.....Your amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sit on a doughnut when I watch TV and not the kind you eat either..when I am in the tub I have a cushion for there too..WTH!!!!!!!

Spoke too soon possible leak and mono more tests tmw!
It is not rambling! Fevers don't just happen for no good reason...something is wrong . Keep at them. don't give up until you are satisfied with everything being checked out..Something small can escalate into something major if not looked after.. Get some G2 Gatorade for your dehydration K....it does wonders for that.. Over a year out and still drink it every day!
