Don't compare yourself to others. The less you have to lose the slower it will come off. Keep eating right & increase your exercise as tolerated this is what helped me. I only had about 45-50 lbs to lose & I never had that big lose, but I am proud to say I loss the weight at my own pace. Good luck to you!!!

Wow jar312 I'm tired just reading your post. Are you still taking the Vitamins & eating 50-60 GMs of Protein? If not, that will zap your energy. Also with finishing school & trying to log 100 miles in a month, maybe you are just stretching yourself too thin (no pun). Try backing off some intense exercise time & check how you're eating, if things don't improve maybe you need to check with the doc. Keep up the great work, and rest when you can.

Good luck to you all!! Be ready to get out of that bed and walk, that will help the soreness you may have. My prayers go out to ya all.

Sounds like you are taking care of business!! I swear by strength training. It really helps make the loose skin in arms look better.

The boots are great, I'm just loving that my feet don't hurt. Before the sleeve my feet hurt no matter what I wore. I'll never go back to that - feels & looks marvelous to be fit.

Starting slow but steady is the trick. I have added different stuff to find what I like. Bike riding in my neighbor is my latest. Its harder that riding in the gym, my legs are getting tighter.

Swimsuit After Pic Sept 21.zipHi my name is Angie and I am 49 years old with two children. I am so excited to share my story. I had my surgery July 2011. I started out at 242 lbs and now I way 191 lbs. I have attached before pictures and I am so proud of my progress. I feel amazing and have the energy level of a 20 year old, I keep up with my sons 18 & 22 now. I consider myself an athlete, I workout at the gym 4 times a week, and get any for of exercise (walking the dog, taking the stairs, riding the bike) every day. My health has improved so much, my diabetes is gone and the hypertension although it remains (genetic I think) requires only a very low dose of medications. So for you that are deciding to have the surgery or just getting started, I swear it is the best thing that I could have done for myself. I will say that the hanging skin is yuck, but with the right foundations and clothes I manage to hide it. I considered plastic surgery, but that $10,000 price tag cancelled that thought. My surgeon told me he could feel my muscle tone and to keep doing what I was doing at the gym and the skin may not go away, but it does look better if you have muscle tone. From my pictures, I think you will agree that exercise is working. Good luck to everyone, I really enjoy reading your stories and I hope I motivated someone else.
