  1. oh - the idea of hair loss scares me... I was sleeved on 09/18 - so far so good. I told my hairdresser I would probably have issues after the holidays. Best of luck with your regimen - my hair is so fine I have to wash it everyday.
  2. That has happened to me as well - nearly approved - layouff... nearly approved - new insurance... nearly approved - oh you need six months weightloss supervision.... So don't give up - I started my desire for WLS back in 2005 and I'm really glad it took so long because I am so comfortable with the idea of the VSG... I did lose 20 pounds during the six month Nutritionist visits and now I'm down another 20 pounds - 5 weeks post-op. The six months really prepared me for the post-op period! Don't give up!
  3. yep - time to switch - my (skinny) pcp was so excited for me that she put the date on her calendar and emailed me to wish me well! I just saw her today (4 weeks post op) she stopped my bloood pressure meds (officially) and cholesteral meds until I see her again for my usual 6 month blood work appt. I had stopped the med 1 week post op as suggested by my surgeon.
  4. Surgery date - Sept 18 Pre-op - 262 pounds - after 20 pounds loss over 8 months 2 week post op check - 14 pound loss nothing since on the home scale - one month check on Thursday - I'm getting anxious about not losing... I'm thinking my mushy foods may be too salty and I'm retaining water - I just don't know.
