  1. Hey fellow sleevers for today, WE MADE IT! Mine was a total success. When HUH says 745 thats what they mean. I arrived at 6 am did my last little paper work, Iv started and @7 i was on ly way back to OR. Spoke with a lot of doctors about anesthesia then my surgeoen, Dr. Tran came asked if I had any last questions, then askwd if we could say a prayer. WOW, I was so impressed with his bedside manner, actually all of them. I wasn't nervous at all, they made me feel safe. In about 5 minutes I was in lalaland! Then the next thing I knew I was in recovery, just a little nausea and very little pain. By noon I was in my room. Now i am just waiting to have foley taken out and start walking. As off right now no nausea and I have hit my PCA (pain med) twice. I hope to have thia continued success for myself and everyone else, we made it!!
  2. Wow I can't believe that after all those long months of pre op testing my day is finally here. Tomorrow @ 745 am. I can't wait. I am a little nervous and anxiety. For the past few days I haven't been able to even get my shakes and water in. I know I will definately have to work on that. Good luck tomorrow to all the sleevers being done tomorrow and I wish you all a speedy recovery! See you on the other side!

  7. Wow there's so much I would like ti do: Volunteer at my daughter's school and not feel embarrassed for her because of my size. Take my kids swimming without the looks. Take a family cruise or fly in a airplane. Be able to walk with my kids at a amusement park and feel like I belong. Start living my life again!!!!
  8. Glad to see their are sleevers out in Md, just haven't found anyone who had their surgery here at hospitals in the area, everyone seems to have had their surgery in Mexico.
  9. Mine was placed to prevent blood clots from traveling to heart and lung which can cause PE's, yes. Glad they took that extra measure of safety.

  13. I dont know anything about Isopure, but I have Bluechoice BC/BS and I hade to have 6 months of journals but it was for when I went to my weight management classes. We had to bring a journal of what we ate for the month. I found the app MyFitnessPal, alot of us here use this app, which is AWESOME!! You just search for the foods you eat and print them out prior to your meetings. If you don't have this app you should get it. It helps!!! Hope I help answer your question a little. Good luck with your journey!

  20. Im also 12th, I am very excited and scared all at the same time. I am on day 7 of 14 for pre op diet, also with just a few slips. I have lost 11 lbs so far I am hoping for another 9 by next wed but the weight loss may have slowed down some not sure yet. I was averaging 1-2 lbs a day so we will see. Good luck to all the sept 12 sleevers. I pray we all have a safe and fast surgery/ recovery.
