1. I have 32oz of sparkling water every day, but I let it flatten out a little bit before I start to drink it.

The Long Road To Success

Thank you all!
4. Well I'm 9 weeks and 5 days post-op and I'm proud to say that I have lost 52lbs. It's been a real rough recovery but it's getting better and int becoming more optimistic that this is going to work. I've lost 5 inches around my stomach and I went from a size 24 in pants to a 16 and from a 3x in shirts to an xl almost large. I'm the most narotic and worrisome person in the world and I have come this far which means anyone can. Lately it's been rough but my surgeon told me some of things I've been experiencing are normal so I'm a little more positive. Just wanted to share my happiness with all of you and hope you are all doing well on your journey. And to the people who aren't even a month post-op and completely miserable, it will get better trust me. The first month was horrible and I was starting to regret my decsion to have the surgery, I was tired and sore and depressed. I had more emotional breakdowns than a pregnant woman LOL. Anyway enjoy your weekend everyone! The first picture is three days post-op, and the second is just now.
5. Honesty I haveny dieted at all, I've even more of the healthier things but I haven't given up what I love and yet at 9 weeks out I am down almost 60lbs. Limiting how much I can eat and the portions is what helped me and my sleeve is just a tool. I believe that if you totally cut out everything bad for you that you'll go crazy and fall off track.
6. Still having the same problem, hoping I'll get an answer when I talk to the doctor on Friday. Absoluteky everything causes discomfort.
7. Today I am 8 weeks post-op. Absolutely everything I eat causes discomfort and makes me feel like I never want to eat again. It basically feels like nothing wants to go down no matter how moist it is. Everything sits right above the opening to my sleeve even if it's a tiny bite of applesauce. This feeling isn't limited to regular food, it happens with EVERYTHING except for fluids. I can drink a 32oz water in an hour without any discomfort or consequences. And when the food finally drops into ny sleeve, a strong ache pulses through my esophagus and the area below my sternum. For about a half hour after I eat, the food goes up and down ny throat until it finally goes away, not far up enough to feel nauseous or come out of my mouth but enough to annoy me and cause discomfort. I'm beginning to wish I never did this, I can't eat anything and when I do its literally ONE bite and even with one bite it hurts. I don't know what to do anymore, I don't feel like a normal person. Granted I love that I have lost 46lbs and feel great but I have to eat every 2 or 3 hours and I DREAD swallowing anything. Any advice? Am I alone on this?
8. Called my surgeon and I'm going in Friday.
9. Okay so I know this might sound silly but here it is, I've been big breasted since I turned 13, even when I wasn't overweight. Now that I'm losing I have noticed that they are shrinking and I have gone down a whole cup size. I know this might sound silly but I'm worried that I'll end up being flat-chested. Don't get me wrong I LOVE that I've lost 50lbs and have gone down quite a few pant sizes but my breasts have always been that one thing that made me feel good about myself even though I was overweight. It is what makes me feel like a woman if that makes any sense. Have any of you ever felt this way or am I silly for not wanting to lose my girls?

To The Ladies;

Well I'm only 20 so the thought of having flat/saggy boobs depresses me because I'm young so they're supposed to be nice looking. I absolutely refuse plastic surgery so I guess chest exercises will be my new friend lol
11. I'm 7 weeks out and I feel that way after every meal.
12. Well 2 months out and I have lost 50lbs! The first picture is in the hospital and the second is yesterday when I was shopping. So far I have went from a size 24W to an 18.

Nausea Question

Your brain doesn't know the size of your stomach so it still produces as much acid as it was before. That is why we are told to take an antacid daily to prevent ulcers and heartburn. I had nausea every day for the first month and it finally died down. 7 weeks out and I feel fine now, the only time I get nauseous is when I take that extra bite and even then it doesn't last long. I took extra strength tums on top of the pepcid and it helped a lot.

Ugh!

6 weeks out and I'm not tolerating anything I eat, everything gives me reflux.and hurts once it's swallowed. Think I'm going back to puree for a little bit. I'm getting frustrated that this is how I'm going to feel when I eat for the rest of my life. Anyone else ever had this problem?
15. When were you able to take big gulps and/or chug when you drink? I'm 6 weeks out and can take a nice gulp but I can't take a few gulps in a row or it hurts tremendously.
16. KarissaKhaos

Drinking

Besides making the food in our stomach expand, why can't we have a sip or two with our meals?
17. KarissaKhaos

Drinking

I'm 6 weeks post-op and I take tiny sips when I eat but it's the only way the food will go down

Help?

So my mom gave me a bite of her ice cream and it had hot fudge on it, 10 minutes later I'm severely nauseous and sweating. What's wrong with me!? I'm really scared

Worried

Lately I've been really nauseous and tired. I can't eat much but I've been taking in a lot of fluids, well over the reccomended 64oz. I've skipped vitamins for the past week because they make me sick to my stomach, could that be why I don't feel well?
