  1. Hopefully you are gaining muscles from all the working out and thus the weight increase. keep working out!
  2. It was 13000 just for the bills from the hospital not including the surgeons fee. I found one EOB currently looking for the other cause I'm kind of curious now.
  3. I love it also, started at 1 mo.
  4. I looked at the eob and it all looked legit. I'll have to find it and scan it in so you can see it
  5. I haven't had any problems, no nausea, tolerating everything very well. I weighed in today and I'm down 29 pounds. I'm pretty happy.
  6. Im 1 month out and I feel like im at a stall also but I can see and feel the difference in my clothes. I'm sure the pounds will follow the inches.
  7. I live in Annapolis and although I am 1 month post op, I still feel like a beginner. Where are you having your surgery? I had mine at GBMC.
  8. my insurance paid it . Ummm... I have no idea, I just assumed that was the going rate and never questioned it cause it was paid 100% by the insurance.
  9. CONGRATULATIONS, you look great!!!!! I too sometimes feel like I am going to be the one person that this doesn't work on. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one with those feelings. I had my surgery on 8/9/12 and have lost 22lbs and counting but for some reason in the back of my head I keep thinking that that's as much as I'm going to lose. So thank you for sharing because it gave me some hope.
  10. wow! I recently received my explanation of benefits and my insurance paid 130,000 for my surgery and hospital stay.
  11. Nothing out of pocket for the surgery and I am not sure if you will have to re do the waiting. If you are using the same surgeon but just have the different insurance, I would guess that you wouldn't have to wait. Your surgeon already has all the info and just needs to submit it.
  12. thats weird it blocked out the H M O
  13. I have Aetna ***, I think PPO is better. Anyway, the only copays I had were for the actual visits prior to being sleeved and labs and diagnostic stuff. Aetna is also an insurance that doesn't always require you to wait six months. I only had to wait 3 months but it took me almost 3 months to get all the required stuff done. Post op the surgeon should see you for 90 days with no copays. after that im not sure . good luck.
  14. where can I find the PB2 and as soon as I start fresh fruits and veggies all of those things will be on my list. Thank you, you have been very helpful.
  15. I think all of what you said is very true! I think my biggest problem is that I eat to fast. It took me 6 minutes to finish 1 egg (soft) with 2 Tbs of salsa but it was so good! I do feel full but comfortable. Do you think this is to much? Was there anything that you turned to as a quick snack or to eat even though you weren't really hungry? I have a new love for Peanut Butter?
  16. I am not even going to try to eat something other than 4 oz. I don't even want to know if I can.
  17. I am on omeprazole. I still eat a lot of soft foods. I found that when I ate a hard boiled egg, finishing it was difficult, I knew I was at my limit. I have had chicken but only two bites, I was tasting it before I served it to my family. I always measure my food, I have 4oz containers that I use. I hope I'm just being paranoid.
  18. you guys are making me worried because I can eat 4oz with no problem. However, depending on the food sometimes I have to eat a little less. Am I eating to much? I'll be 1 month post op on the 9th
  19. I don't think you can go by what other people say. The first week I ate about a 1/4 cup but now I usually eat about a half of a cup at a time. I sometimes feel I can drink more than I'm suppose to. I am going to ask the surgeon tomorrow at my appointment if this is normal. Also, I don't get a "full" feeling. I get this pressure, it feels like it's at my sternum and if I get that feeling I consider that to mean I ate to much or to quickly. Anyway, everyone is different so talk to your surgeon and see what he says.
  20. thats a lot of weight, good for you!
  21. Happy sleeve day! I had mine on 8/9/12. I'm very excited to see the surgeon tomorrow to find out how much more weight i've lost. How are you doing, what things are you eating and how is your weightloss coming along?
  22. I just read your thread and was very sad for you. However, I got the bottom and was elated! Good Luck!
  23. Everything will be fine! Goodluck and congratulations to you both!
  24. For the above recipe I use skim mozzarella and I use 3/4 cups instead of 1 cup. Make sure you get all the moisture out of the cauliflower after you cook it in the microwave, blot it with a paper towel. Also, I still do protien shakes, EAS they are 100 cal but they only have 17 grams of protein, I use those as snacks and they are prepackaged so I can leave them in my car and have them whenever I need them.
