    Sleeved 10/9/2012

My doctor wouldn't let me have Gas-X either. Most of the gas was gone after two days but I had one stubborn gas bubble that was really painful & stayed 5 days. Walk, walk, walk. The pain meds helped. So did warm showers (careful not to get your incisions wet) putting pillows behind my back helped too. But besides walking the thing that really helped was having a family member pat my back. Sounds weird, I know, but it worked. I was sleeved on 9/11/12. Sent from my iPad using VST
  2. I've had to wear a wig because of hair loss due to hypothyroidism. It can be extremely depressing to lose your hair. Mine won't come back but your almost certainly will. In the meantime, have fun with it! Change your style and color. And don't be afraid to tell people you have a wig. I used to be ashamed but realized there's nothing I could do about the hair loss. If you're embarrassed to tell people about the hair loss, just tell people you are trying out different looks for a make-over when you get to your goal. Sent from my iPad using VST
  3. Don't get discouraged. You can get back on track. I have trouble keeping my carbs in check but I found this great site called My Fitness Pal. There's also an app if you have a mobile device. I like it because it keeps track of my calories, weight, and exercise. It also breaks down my nutrients. You can scan the UPC code on packages and it automatically puts all the nutrients in for you or you can manually put the info in. It has a diet and exercise journal too. And the best part is that it is free. Oh yeah it also keeps track of how many glasses of water you drink. Hope it helps. And don't forget we are all here to support you too. Good luck! 4. Oh yeah..forgot one EXTREMELY important piece of advice....stay well-hydrated. Dehydration affects every cell in your body and it your body takes moisture from your non-essential cells first. i.e., your hair Sent from my iPad using VST
  5. I have been dealing with hair loss for over 12 years because I have hypothyroidism. The best thing I found (and what actually slowed the hair loss considerably) is Nioxin shampoo & especially the conditioner. Add a Biotin supplement and daily scalp massages and you should be fine. You may not see new hair right away but most people will within 3 months. Sent from my iPad using VST
  6. Yes, mine started yesterday, my 5th day of my pre-op diet. Anyone know why or how long this will last? Sent from my iPad using VST

I Can't Wait To Not Have To...

I can't wait to not wear something under my dress or skirt to keep my inner thighs from getting the dreaded "chub rub" redness and pain Sent from my iPad using VST

I Can't Wait To Not Have To...

Haha...my belly does that too. And it helps me drive because it is rubbing the steering wheel when I drive. Turns on the washer/dryer when I lean in to get my clothes. I could go on and on about how "helpful" my belly is. Sent from my iPad using VST
  9. When do you get to a point when you don't feel so hungry all the time. I am on day 2 Sent from my iPad using VST

I Can't Wait To Not Have To...

I know that feeling. I live 2 miles from an amusement park and every time we pass it my granddaughter asks me to take her. I thank God she is still too little & I can use that excuse for not taking her rather than her Nana is too fat to ride the rides with her. Sent from my iPad using VST
