I am almost a year out and my hair loss is so bad that I finally broke down and ordered a wig. I have been taking Biotin and always eat Protein first but it hasnt helped. That is the only down side to this surgery for me. I have lost 100 pounds am a size 10 but my hair is in very bad shape. I guess you cant have it all.I've had to wear a wig because of Hair loss due to hypothyroidism. It can be extremely depressing to lose your hair. Mine won't come back but your almost certainly will. In the meantime, have fun with it! Change your style and color. And don't be afraid to tell people you have a wig. I used to be ashamed but realized there's nothing I could do about the hair loss. If you're embarrassed to tell people about the hair loss, just tell people you are trying out different looks for a make-over when you get to your goal.

I am totally down in the dumps I have gone from 186 to 192 back and fourth for over a month now. I am going to say I have not been watching my carbs at all however I know I am under 1000 due to the quantity. My one year will be here in about a month and I am nowhere near goal and that really makes me feel bad. I am under tons of stress so I know that plays a big part. Today I will be doing an all liquid day and see if I can get back on track and shock my system.Don't get discouraged. You can get back on track. I have trouble keeping my carbs in check but I found this great site called My Fitness Pal. There's also an app if you have a mobile device. I like it because it keeps track of my calories, weight, and exercise. It also breaks down my nutrients. You can scan the UPC code on packages and it automatically puts all the nutrients in for you or you can manually put the info in. It has a diet and exercise journal too. And the best part is that it is free. Oh yeah it also keeps track of how many glasses of Water you drink. Hope it helps. And don't forget we are all here to support you too. Good luck!

Oh yeah..forgot one EXTREMELY important piece of advice....stay well-hydrated. Dehydration affects every cell in your body and it your body takes moisture from your non-essential cells first. i.e., your hair

I have been dealing with hair loss for over 12 years because I have hypothyroidism. The best thing I found (and what actually slowed the Hair loss considerably) is Nioxin Shampoo & especially the conditioner. Add a Biotin supplement and daily scalp massages and you should be fine. You may not see new hair right away but most people will within 3 months.

Today is my first day on the liquid diet--I thought it would be high protein' date=' low carb, but the shakes I am suppose to use have 20g carbs in them! I have to work a 12 hour shift today--maybe its good to be at work without tempations ![/quote']Wow, that is a lot of carbs. My Protein shakes have 7g. Do your shakes have added sugar?

I know this sounds weird' date=' but have you tried using antiperspirant on your inner thighs? Works wonders for me - even during 100* summer days.[/quote']
Yep, I know that trick and you're right-it does work wonders. I am just looking forward to it not being an issue :-)

I can't wait to not wear something under my dress or skirt to keep my inner thighs from getting the dreaded "chub rub" redness and pain

My belly turns the oven on. It has touch controls and when I lean over it starts to preheat
Haha...my belly does that too. And it helps me drive because it is rubbing the steering wheel when I drive. Turns on the washer/dryer when I lean in to get my clothes. I could go on and on about how "helpful" my belly is.

When do you get to a point when you don't feel so hungry all the time. I am on day 2

I can't wait to wear a pair of nice-fitting jeans with a belt' date=' and my shirt tucked in!Looking foward to NOT standing on my daily commute because I'm embarrassed to share a 2-seater.[/quote']
Me either. It's been so long since I've tucked in my shirt.

One of most frightening things that happened to me this summer was being at a local amusement park and my adolescent boy wanted to go on a roller coaster. I wasn't going to for different reasons but nonetheless they had a seat to sit in prior to the ride to see if you fit. No more measuring height. This time it was a matter if my fat ARSE would fit! Humiliating.I know that feeling. I live 2 miles from an amusement park and every time we pass it my granddaughter asks me to take her. I thank God she is still too little & I can use that excuse for not taking her rather than her Nana is too fat to ride the rides with her.

My doctor wouldn't let me have Gas-X either. Most of the gas was gone after two days but I had one stubborn gas bubble that was really painful & stayed 5 days. Walk, walk, walk. The pain meds helped. So did warm showers (careful not to get your incisions wet) putting pillows behind my back helped too. But besides walking the thing that really helped was having a family member pat my back. Sounds weird, I know, but it worked. I was sleeved on 9/11/12.
