Now that's hilarious. My boobs use to be full and perky. Now they are barely there and what is there hangs so low, lol. I def need to try weight training in the chest area to see if that helps.

I'm so glad that you decided to write this post because I'm actually going through this now with my husband. Since I have had the surgery and losing weight, I have been going through hell around here. If a guy posts or comment on my FB page, I'm being accused of sleeping with them. He now has concerns every time a notification comes through my phone throughout the day b/c he doesn't know if it's a text from a guy. It's been horrible. The thing is I lost weight a couple years back and he acted the same way. He was able to convince me to eat this and that and now that I look back did things that would prevent me from being active or trying to stay healthy. He would make the same comments about him being with me while I was overweight but I had also had plenty of boyfriends before him. I wish I would've listened to the voice in my head years ago to leave him because it's worst now that we're married with kids. We don't really talk these days b/c he flips out on me but I've tried to suggest counseling and sometimes he says okay and other times he doesn't want to consider it. He keeps saying "you're losing wieght so I know you're going to leave me when it's all gone". If I've stayed with him for 9 years of his crap, what would me losing weight have to do with anything. Girl, why you are not attached to him as his wife, just leave and don't deal with it. I am seriously considering divorce with this foolishness over here.

Well, you say you haven't lost weight, but have you gained? If you haven't gained (or haven't gained much), then that's your sleeve hard at work, even when you're not controlling what you're eating very well.
I'd definitely suggest tracking everything you eat. There are apps like My Fitness Pal and Spark that let you enter in your recipes so you can truly track it all. Tracking makes me see in no uncertain terms what I'm eating and lets me see where I need to make adjustments. Definitely make sure you're getting your Protein requirements in and watch your carb/sugar intake. When you eat lots of processed food, carbs and sugar, it keeps your blood sugar fluctuating too much and makes you feel hungry sooner. Plus, as someone else mentioned, it goes right through your stomach. Protein dense foods take longer to digest and your body can/will make use of it, as opposed to carbs, which if they aren't burned immediately, they are stored as fat.
I'm sure you already know what to do. It's just a matter of doing it. You have to take control! Go revisit your NUT and get a plan from them, track your intake, exercise more if you need to and you'll see the scale start moving down again. Good luck, hon! You can make it happen!!

I have this same problem. I hate it cause how can someone tell you how you're supposed to feel about your body. My friends have said they think I have some body issues cause I'm always saying I need to lose more. They don't understand that I look totally different with my clothes off.

[quote name="Lisa ]Here's the thing...Diets don't work!! If they did' date=' everyone would be losing weight and KEPPING it off with them!! The only way to achieve success in weight loss is with a change in lifestyle....which is why most of us had surgery in the first place.
The thing with diets is that they create a deficit. But it's like borrowing money from a bank...you can't expect to go into "debt" and not pay it all back plus interest!! That's the way diets work....you go into calorie "debt" and then, one day, you have to pay the debt back with "interest"!!! This is the reason that most people lose weight on diets and then when they go back to eating the way they did before, they gain it all back plus a little more. This is also what drives our "set point" up too...which is the weight your body wants to naturally be at.
Immediately after surgery we are forced to "diet", if you will...but long term, I don't believe that long term weight loss can be PERMANENTLY achieved through severe calorie restriction. Our bodies need fuel (aka: food in the form of Protein, carbs and fat) to run efficiently.
I was in a 5 month plateau (from Nov-March) and, for me, it was about taking an honest look at my eating behavior. I wasn't tracking and my nutrition was off balance. Now that I'm back to tracking my food and eating a balance of Protein, fat AND carbs, my weight loss has picked back up again![/quote']
Thanks for your input on this. I never really looked at it like this.

I'm 6 days post op and I've been tired alot. I'm not supposed to start my multi-vitamins and B12 pills until tomorrow so hopefully that helps. I'm def not getting in my 64 oz Protein and 64 oz liquid. I've been drinking the Atkins Advantage for my protein which only had 15 g protein and that is the most I might get. I'm thinking I might just start making my own. I'm down 10.4 lbs since surgery so that's a plus. I'm noticing my incisions are starting to itch and some of them are hurting more than the others but I'm gonna ask about it at the post op appt. I'm supposed to go see my surgeon this afternoon for my post op appointment. I wish there were a Trader Joes in my area...

A lot of doctors and nuts say the same thing about the straws, but I haven't seen one person on this forum or met one sleever in real life who ever had a problem with drinking from a straw. Sometimes they take a general rule that applies to one particular surgery (like the lapband) and apply it across the board to all surgeries just to cover their asses. Other times, there may have been one lawsuit or horror story where someone killed themself with a straw so some big doctor decided it would be wise if no one used straws ever again, and the rest of the doctors went along with that rather than questioning it.
