  1. I went to a seminar in July and had my consult with the surgeon Aug.16th. I'm scheduled for my pre-op appt Aug.30 and surgery Sept.12. Although I don't know how accurate the surgery date will be as the surgeon hasn't evem submitted to my insurance yet.
  2. Did they find out what the pain was? Was it a leak?
  3. Sept 12 Tampa, FL Dr. Fernandez
  4. Sending prayers your way!
  5. You'll do great! Prayers sent your way.
  6. Where are you getting your surgery done at?
  7. Hello, my name is Nicole and I'm going to be sleeved on 9/12. I'm in FL
  8. Yeah, it is dumb if what they told me was true. I'll reach out to others on here to see if they had this problem. Thanks.
  9. There is not a particular reason why I should get denied. I called BCBS and they said that even though you met their requirements doesn't mean you will be approved. I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone before. Just like everyone else, this has been a long road and if BCBS did try to pull something like this, I would be so upset .
  10. I'm talking about if your insurance company covers it and you meet all the requirements that they ask for but they still deny you.
  11. Has anyone experienced WLS denial even when you meet the insurance requirements i.e. bmi, supervised diet, test?
  12. I have no history of mental illness or anything. He asked what procedure I was getting and if I had a history of mental illness in my family and I told him no. My visit only lasted 9 minutes. I was kind of mad that it, only lasted that time b/c I drove 1 1/2 hours one way to get to him. I was nervous on my way there but its no big deal.
  13. That's good to hear. It seems like everyone else complains of hair loss. What do you think you are doing differently?
  14. My insurance says the same thing and from what my coordinator told me, it means you don't have to do a supervised diet for example the 6 month one but you have to inform your pcp of previous weight loss attempts in which they would document in their letter to the insurance company.
