Are you able to take meds?

I take 2 pills per day, and I took them right after the surgery... depending on the type, the dr may have you smash them up... mine were small, so no problem... good luck...talk to your doctor!
  7. Did you call them or did they call you? Because of the type of specialty surgery, even if they are not a usual hospital, it can be approved... the doctors office should contact the insurance company and find out what's up... good luck!

My last 4 can of diet pepsi

I too, was a Diet Coke-aholic...could not pass a drive thru without getting one...never drank coffee, so that was my "go to" beverage...I remember emailing my therapist that I just consumed my last diet coke in September 2012 and have not looked back... It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but not both my husband and I steer clear of carbonated beverages... he has benefited greatly from the change of lifestyle! Good luck, you can DO THIS!

    Cooking with bread crumbs...

panko is lower in carbs...but with an egg, you don't really need the crumbs... speaking of which, on Rachael yesterday they made a pizza dough with cauliflower and eggs!!! HELLO KITTY!!! YEAH!!! On my list of "try me's"
  18. Been reading that many use probiotics for their constipation...was looking on the CVS website and there are TONS... I know I need to look at carbs and such; that's why I'm asking for help here...what are the recommendations? I NEED HELP!!! Thanks
  19. FINALLY FOUND THE BUTTON!!!! Thanks!!! Learning day by day I may try a bottle, just to see, but I tried a bariatric powdery chewable Vitamin right after surgery and hated trying to get them down...thanks again!
  20. I don't know how to put in what you said into my "box", Bufflehead...however, are they are powder chewable or more of a gummy? I hate powder chewables...thanks...
  21. I agree...no carbonation...nope, nadda, walking usually helps relieve gas pressure, but... Call your doctor!

2 weeks post op....... weight gain?

how often are you weighing yourself? If you are doing it everyday-STOP! Once a week is more than enough or you will drive yourself crazy (we've all been there)... as you know the same day and time every week gives you a better reading... just relax and follow your plan, you should be fine

    Eye Candy

Thanks, I'll be looking forward to that

    Coffee

I never drank coffee, only tea...but my understanding is that coffee is a diuretic, so not good; then the caffeine could be an appetite stimulus, so not good; but most doctors let you have decaf after "x" amount of time and usually want you to limit it to one a day... best thing is to ask your doctor or NUT about their opinions on the matter. For me, giving up my Diet Coke was the nightmare... no carbonated beverages since I started this journey...and I don't miss it at all! :)
  25. "it is worth it" "you can do this" being nervous is normal....the liquid diet was no problem for me; some people struggle the first few days because your body is detoxing... but we are here for you! Good luck! It's the BEST thing I ever did for ME!
