    Hitting the wall?

I would think you need more Protein or liquid... you may want to check with doctor as well... Just remember, you just had MAJOR surgery... even tho you may have just a few small scars on the outside...inside you are recovering BIG TIME!!! Don't overdo it... do as much as your body will let you, you are doing great! (BTW, I love your nebulus icon!)

    Ok, the hair thing again

Mine thinned out in CLUMPS...but I have very thick hair...so no biggie for me, once I got past the shock of it!!! However, everything is fine now... it's more a surgery thing in general...it happens Be sure to take your Vitamins and drink your Water...all that will help...

    Full liquid diet

Your NUT should give you a list of foods that you can have during this stage... mine did.

  5. When I open the page...this is where I am...don't even know where/how... seems like "everyone" is on these pages... but I got the email... and I think it's a great idea... the more the merrier! I go to a group once a month...but I wouldn't mind another

Feeling like a failure to this

I agree...if the scale is causing you stress...hide it! You should not be weighing yourself that often.... if you are truly depressed (in general) you need to call your doctor and set up a psych visit... it's important to take care of YOU at all times!!! I only weigh myself on Monday mornings...good luck

    hiccups?

Hiccups are very common in the beginning (I had them)...usually means I ate too fast/much... too much air into my system...so annoying! To help gas pass...WALK! Good luck
  9. My doctor warned me about possible problems...most of which you spoke about... that's a shame that they didn't cover it better for you. Yes, even tho it's laproscopic, it is still major surgery, even if your outsides don't look like it ... I had a dehydration problem... which I was told about... but was able to work past it eventually... Everyone is different, and some take to this better than others... my major problem was the fluids, which caused the dehydration... since I knew what was going on (being informed from my doctors office) I went in to his office for an IV drip and after that, I did much better... But, I agree, this or any surgery should not be taken lightly... I don't regret making this decision either... good luck to you!

    Could I be dehydrated?

yes, start by drinking more... if you are not doing better, check with your doctor... do you take probiotics? some cause dry mouth, etc for people... I cannot use them, they do me WRONG ... so I went back to miralax to help with my "problem"

    My EVERYTHING itches!

check with your doctor...it's not that unusual...I used gold bond to help and Biotin and other Vitamins that help skin etc... good luck... it may be a reaction to something, so that's why I say to contact your doctor, you may need to take something...
  15. BigGirlPanties

    Clear liquids!

Each doctor is different...I didn't have to have "clear" liquids...just liquids... protein drinks, mio, crystal light, etc... odd that they don't even give you the protein option... you need that most of all... have you checked in with them about that?

    Romantic Relationships: Change in Focus

Dear Lumpy Princess... Have you spoken to a counselor? It could be part of a depression sinking in... I know it sounds weird to be depressed when you (think you) are feeling so good...but it happens... and it could be a temporary thing... but again, as mentioned it may be that this person really isn't the right fit... the only one that knows is YOU... my honey and I have been together about 10 years, we got married a few months after my surgery... I can't imagine life without him, but I do like my alone time (before and after surgery)... you need to find the mix that works for you. Good luck!

How Do You Plan Your Meals?

I start/want to plan better, but I haven't... I cook a dozen eggs to have for breakfast, etc to have on hand. I will buy a roasted chicken, or make something on the weekends to last me thru the week... like cupcake lasagnas or other high density protein items...and have quest bars for a snack or back up... along with my protein supplements...

    Cauliflower recipe question

you can blend one pound of cauliflower in the blender; cook until tender...drain all liquid (u can use a clean kitchen towel); add 2 scrambled eggs...mix well...lay out on a parchment paper on a cookie sheet and cook for about 40 minutes at 400...this makes your pizza base...they add your ingredients and bake off until melted (by the way, since it's not "dough" it won't rise, so whatever you make it, that's how it will turn out-size wise)...even my husband liked it

    Rib Pain

it may be gas...so the walking is what helps to relieve it...tho you should advise your doctor, just in case they want you to come in and check on you... congrats!

    Uuugggghhhhh!

Holy Moly!!! That's insane!!!! My doc said if we were self-pay they would work out a better price, but I'm SURE it was under $20,000...more like $12,000...something is definately wrong there... good luck on your research!
  23. @@Alex Brecher, awesome list complied so far...I attend a monthly meeting at Rincon Recovery, Anisa is GREAT; a nice small group and our hospital offers one as well...but that is a HUGE room full of people and while the information may be valuable, the amount of folks in attendance makes interaction difficult. I have done training before and wouldn't mind hosting/leading...whatever process needs to be done to do so. The meetings help me stay on track and have accountability...while I have been "stalled", I haven't gained, and that's important to me... Thanks for this great site and info!

    Bruising

Congrats on your loss! I'm dreaming of onederland... ... anyway... bruising is a bit common...just like we can't give blood anymore... our levels are different... you need to be taking your Vitamins and supplements, as that will help. I have always been a "bruiser"... and I could never explain what happened; as always, if this has got you up and night wondering, contact your dr., they may want to run a test to see if you have a deficiency that needs a supplement "boost"... good luck!

Quick Question - Please help me

chives should not be a problem...but you can always check with your dietician to be 100% sure... they encourage spices and herbs...so with that said, my thought would be it's ok...(they wouldn't get caught in your staples...but may upset your tum tum)
