  3. Hiya gtracy! Well... you can watch a lot of people go through the process and be an expert when it's your turn! Nice to meet you. :)

Nice to meet you too! Not many Wisconsinites on here. My best friend had gastric bypass a year and a half ago. I watched her go from 272 pounds down to 132. Absolutely amazing!!!

  4. You can refuse to take them out. I refused for 2 different surgeries. Have then tape them and all will be fine. They only tell you to remove then for the sole purpose if you need to be shocked because ur heart stops, you can get burned from it. There is nothing they can do if you refuse. I even refused to take my wedding ring off. They just taped that too.

  5. Ok thanks yall. I'm gonna find some faith in this process. Just to answer a few comments' date=' no I have not measured and 24# in 6 weeks not less than a month. But thank you all it helps knowing I'm not the only one who has felt hopeless.[/quote']

Have you checked out the grams of sugar in the Protein drinks you are drinking? Some Protein Drinks have a lot of sugar (meant for body builders and such) which aren't intended for people trying to lose weight.

  6. Peer to peer is the step right before you would appeal. I have my back surgeon and pcp going to bat for me. The only reason I was denied in the first place was because of lack of weight documented by the hospital/clinic. They took my vitals and temperature but hardly ever took my weight. I have pictures to prove I've been over weight for years but the insurance company won't allow them for proof.
