I was on a liquid diet for 3 weeks then a pureed diet for another 3 week and then 3 weeks of soft foods. Each surgeon has their own rules.
-
I would follow up with ur primary doctors nurse. I'm sure it's fine, but I would make a call just in case.

I went back to work after a week but was on restrictions of not lifting over 10 pounds for a month.

Hw: 259
Sw: 241

Surgery was January 22, 2014
Can't believe I finally weigh less than 200 pounds. My baby brother gave me the best compliment last night by telling me I wasn't his big sister anymore...... I'm now his "little" sister. Had me in tears!!! No more fat suit for this girl!

Hiya gtracy! Well... you can watch a lot of people go through the process and be an expert when it's your turn! Nice to meet you.Nice to meet you too! Not many Wisconsinites on here. My best friend had gastric bypass a year and a half ago. I watched her go from 272 pounds down to 132. Absolutely amazing!!!

I'm from LaCrosse area. Looking to get sleeved the end of 2013.

You look fantastic! Keep up the good work!!!

My husband and best friend (which had gastric bypass a year ago) are the only ones that will ever know.

If I am not mistaken. Its state law for a person having surgery to have another person accompany them while in surgery.
She's having it done in Mexico..... they don't have the same laws as us.

I've lost 122 lbs and went from a 44DDD to a 38G so they aren't as big on the sides but I've kept most of them. You went UP in cup size?
-
You can refuse to take them out. I refused for 2 different surgeries. Have then tape them and all will be fine. They only tell you to remove then for the sole purpose if you need to be shocked because ur heart stops, you can get burned from it. There is nothing they can do if you refuse. I even refused to take my wedding ring off. They just taped that too.

Not sure if it's too many calories but my NUT said to stay under 5 grams of sugar for each meal and snack. No more than 30 grams a day.
-
Ok thanks yall. I'm gonna find some faith in this process. Just to answer a few comments' date=' no I have not measured and 24# in 6 weeks not less than a month. But thank you all it helps knowing I'm not the only one who has felt hopeless.[/quote']Have you checked out the grams of sugar in the Protein drinks you are drinking? Some Protein Drinks have a lot of sugar (meant for body builders and such) which aren't intended for people trying to lose weight.

Peer to peer is the step right before you would appeal. I have my back surgeon and pcp going to bat for me. The only reason I was denied in the first place was because of lack of weight documented by the hospital/clinic. They took my vitals and temperature but hardly ever took my weight. I have pictures to prove I've been over weight for years but the insurance company won't allow them for proof.

I'm trying to.....its been a long journey so far. I'm not willing to give up just yet!!!

My peer to peer is scheduled for this Thursday. If the insurance company overturns their decision and approves me, my surgery will be scheduled for February. FINGERS CROSSED!!!!
