Well, I've had at least a dozen of them... Most of them I was put under & only one of them I was awake for. So, if you're put under, you can expect they will prep you (gown, IV, etc), when you wake you may have a little bit of sore throat but that's about it. The one I had when I was awake (not the route you wanna go if it can be helped) but, I was at Dr's office. They give you some meds to help relax you, spray some throat spray to the back of your throat, put a bite tube in your mouth & then instruct you when to swallow as they guide the tube down your throat & into the stomach. My preference is to be asleep but some Dr's prefer to do it in their office. Either way, I'm sure you will do fine. Best of luck & all will go well.

One piece of advice before going in...just as they start to put you under, dream about the skinny you & your successful weight loss, because your about to join us in the loser's bench....CONGRATS!!!! You're gonna do GREAT!!!!

Well, I was told by my Dr. it depends on the elasticity of your skin, as well as other factors. He said to wait for at least 2 years. With the weight loss & exercise I should see some significant changes.

Sudden attacks, I take Maalox. Sometimes, I will take Pepcid or Zantac if it's not severe.

I'm 5' 3", starting weight was 177, surgery date 9/4/12, weight now 138.

I am also RH- and have had many surgeries. This was never mentioned, other than it being an issue when I was pregnant.

I'll start... I'm thankful for my Sleeve & the weight loss (an obvious), family & friends, health & happiness. I will not obsess that day & plan on eating at least a spoonful of all my favorites.

Perfectly normal to stall at about 3 weeks out...don't panic! You will continue to lose weight & remember, you will hit stalls periodically....just breathe
