  1. I was sleeved 8-9 as well and I noticed that I had actually gained a few lbs back. That freaked me out to no end,as you can imagine. I upped my Water intake and I also split what I was eating into much smaller meals, so instead of three meals and two Snacks its more like six 1 to 2 ounce high protien snacks. It seems to work for me and Im starting to lose again. I do feel like I am eating all the time though but Im just trying to listen to my body and stay on track. I am also starting to get back into a regular workout schedule and I know thats going to effect weight loss as well. I did notice that although the pounds may not be flying off right now, my body shape is definately changing and from what Ive read this is really common. You might want to start tracking your measurements or maybe try on some clothes that were previously too small. That is a great way to get NSV and keep you motivated. As long as your doing what your Dr and Nut says you will lose weight. The hardest thing for me is not being obsesive about weighing myself and also not comparing myself to anyone else. My husband was sleeved 6-9 last year and I know it DOES work. He has lost 140 so far and he feels great so that also keeps me motivated that the weight will come off.
  2. I was sleeved on the 9th of Aug and Ive lost about 15lbs so far. My husband was sleeved 14 months before me and he has lost about 130lbs to date. He is very supportive and we did use the same dr for the surgery. My concern is that the meal plans that he received when he had his surgery and the plans that I recieved when I had mine vary greatly. For example my plan goes straight from full liquids(yogurt, puddings, strained Soups, ect) to what they are referring to as soft foods (tuna, lunch meats, oatmeal, mashed potatoes ect) and he is shocked that I would be able to eat that because I remember more of a mushy pureed transiotion phase in there when he was going through it. Also there has been some discussion in the house that if I want to "cut corners" I wont lose as much as him. I know he doesnt mean it the way he is saying it but I feel like somehow Im cheating if I eat the way Im allowed to eat per the diet recommendations. Has anyone else went through this? Im not gonna lie, I severely miss being able to chew and being able to take something that resembles a normal lunch would make for way less questions when I go back to work.
  3. Ok thanks so much for the reassurance. It is just difficult to merge what he was told with what I was told when its the same Dr. What you both have mentioned does make much more sense than the 2-4 week foods that my Dr listed on the sample menu. I am just going to take it slow and do what I know is right for me.

    1St Soft Food

I am really relieved to see your post. I am 13 days out and my Dr says to do the same thing. I have several family memebers that have been sleeved by different surgeons and they were kind of shocked that I was getting that many choices that fast. As much as i really want something to chew again I am kind of terrified for that first solid bite to go in my mouth. I have hit a mini stall for the past three days and Im hoping that changing things up a bit helps to break me out of that as well.
