I am hungry more often than I was presurgery, but a small snack of something will stop the feeling. Some on here will says it's impossible to be hungry after surgery, that's simply not true. Some will say you're not hungry, it's just acid, that's simply not true either. Ghrelin isn't the only thing that makes you hungry! And empty stomach will! Also, the part of the stomach they remove isn't the only part of the body that produces ghrelin. Also, if you drink too soon after eating you will wash the food out of your sleeve and be hungry again sooner than if you set a timer and do not drink! Hope that helps a little

I think it's really funny that a bunch of fat people like myself who had to resort to surgery to lose the weight suddenly become experts on the exactly correct way to eat. If we were experts we wouldn't be fat@sses in the first place.

I was feeling a little low about how slow my weight loss is going. This weekend it got warm here and I decided to try on some of my summer clothes....I tried on this pair of jean shorts that I couldn't even get up to see how close they were to fitting...They fit!!! I couldn't believe it!!! I wore them yesterday with no problems! I carry most of my weight in my lower stomach, so this was huge! I was doing the happy dance!!!!!

It's just acid, you need a PPI, etc.. I am hungry more often. I wish I wasn't... I do feel I have to think about eating more than I used to. If i let the hunger go too long without eating I struggle to eat slow enough, because I feel ravenous! I will figure it out, but saddened to see others make accusations when we vent or tell our experience. I know I am in control, but I've been in control my entire life and have been morbidly obese most of it! You don't turn the Titanic around on dime... Some of are slower than others! I've not weighed what I was now in probably 25 years... That part is wonderful! The eating is still a struggle. So sad that not everyone can understand that, but not everyone can.

Had sleeve December 6,2012. Loss-57lbs so far. I am 66 years old and feel I have a new lease on life and going to make the most of it!! Plan on enjoying all the medical benefits.

I'm afraid I'd end up with a goatee I have so much extra skin! LOL
