    North Dallas Area

I'm just up the street from that corner. We live in the Knowles at Russell Creek (closer to Custer and McDermott). We have a leased home and moved in from Wilmington, Delaware last March.

Ask your doctor, but I can tell you I take a pepcid daily without crushing it. It's about as big around as a wooden pencil and it's kind of thin. The doctor specifically told me to avoid capsules, but was fine with the pepcid going down whole.

    red lobster? what to eat?

That stinks. I should make my own spiedini. I used to eat it there quite a bit when I was on my last diet before surgery. I used to eat it in Dover, Delaware when I was a contractor for the state.

    red lobster? what to eat?

I ate at an OG in early January of this year. It's was in Texarkana, TX. My favorite dish was gone! I haven't been to any around the DFW area which is home to me.

Love chicken spiedini. I was bummed out last time I was at the OG. It wasn't on the menu anymore.

    apparenty spegetti liquifys

Has anyone tried the tofu noodles? I saw them in the store today and was curious. I'm still about 3 weeks away from eating them though. I love spaghetti squash btw. It goes good with salmon.
  9. Congratulations! I'm looking forward to hitting the two hundreds myself. It will be awhile for me though.
  10. My doctor has me taking b12, a multi, and calcium citrate in the morning. Then calcium citrate for lunch and another calcium citrate and multi at dinner time. No iron is required for me. He does mention to take iron at least 2 hours after the other stuff.

Good luck! Walk, walk, walk, walk! As soon as you are stable enough on your feet of course!
  12. So I did my preop today. It went fairly well, but one thing really concerns me. My surgeon wants me to disconnect my insulin pump at midnight day of surgery. I'm scheduled for 12. I take tons of insulin a day like 160 units a day. This seems like a very dangerous thing to do. I've heard of people who have had their cats chew their tubing in the middle of the night and have to go to the emergency room in the morning. Am I the only one who thinks this is borderline suicidal? Damn! I hope this isn't the beginning of the end of my high confidence level in Dr Kim. I'm talking to my endo on Monday. I'll have her talk to Dr. Kim about that.

No insulin from pump for 12 hours. WTH!

Well, my surgery happened on 2/14 and no one really gave a damn about my pump. They knew about it, but pretty much left the management of it up to me. It turns out the doctor's orders were just a blanket rubber stamp type of document. He assumes type 2 which cutting off insulin at midnight is probably a good idea. Kind of pissed at the doctor doing this, but my surgery was great. I took no narcotic pain meds and I feel great!

Welcome aboard. I had my VSG on Valentines Day too. I'm down 35 today. Started my preop at 397 on 1/31. I'm shooting for 220-225 on my 6'6" frame.

Same here. I'm using the leftover surgical soap to clean my incisions. We normally use dial which is antibacterial, but I'm sure that surgical soap is much better.
