See my entire post "Buyers Remores- My Horrible Road to "recovery" Post Sleevectomy"

I have been overweight since my early teens, 130lbs at 12 which along with some sexual abuse started my body hatred and my weight spiraling out of control. By 16 I was in the mid 170s and topped 200 by the time I graduated highschool. My "fattest" weight was always around 215lbs until I hit 19 and through a combination of diet, exercise and new love I had gotten down to my "perfect" adult weight of 160lbs. I got married and pregnant at 20 and my first doctors appointment saw my weight at 161lbs, my last one was 245lbs and I delivered 2 days later. Breast feeding and bliss dropped my weight to 200 within 3 weeks of my daughters birth, we were both fat and happy! Serious complications from a diseased gallbladder throughout my pregnancy and a clogged bile duct sent me to the hospital at 182 lbs, I lost 20 lbs in a week while trying to nurse my daughter and my body shut down. Removal of my gallbladder at age 21 left me feeling lighter but I gained all of the 20 lbs back while in the hospital from the fluids and had to stop breast feeding. I came home at 205lbs. A lousy marriage and 2 years later and I reached my "horrific" weight at 23, I left my husband and moved home weighing 299lbs, I clung to that 1 lousy pound! By 30 I had it figured out, was dating again, had a wonderful daughter and got to my comfortable weight of 185lbs. I look at those pictures now and they motivated me to lose this weight to look like that girl again. Life happened and over 10 years I lost and gained over a hundred lbs, at 36 I was terrified to see my weight get to 260lbs, by 40 I was 320 but I felt like the scale lied because it really was only made for people up to 240lbs so I considered myself 299lbs again. This Februaury I finally made it through the approval process with my insurance carrier, my first doctors appointment Februay 9 and I weighed 332lbs on the real, honest to goodnes, fat person scale and I couldn't lie to myself anymore. My last appointment after approval and prior to surgery was February 27, I weighed in at 347lbs and was terrified to think I gained all that weight waiting for approval for surgery. I started the protein diet 3 days later and lost 16lbs in 9 days prior to surgery, I was glowing! An uneventful surgery with 5 awful months after has left me at the 300lbs, I pray for that 1 pound every day! Serious problems including a DVT in my arm, 5 PICC lines, pneumonia, malnutrition, nausea, vomiting and diarhea have left me down.....but not out. I will update every day the positives and negatives of my journey and I hope when you read this, it connects with you in some way and encourages you!
