Hi there everyone. I have been a lurker here for a few months and I'm finally jumping in, now that my pre-surgery timeline has started.

I am in my late 30's and have been overweight since childhood, but things didn't get totally out of control until after I had kids. I had the Lap-Band for about four years and finally had it taken out about four years ago after experiencing lots of complications, so I'm going into this surgery with my eyes open!

I'm scared and excited at the same time. I hope to meet people going through the same thing and learn more about the surgery and life afterwards.
