  1. 9/26/12 I lost 31 lbs. I have been in a stall for 7 weeks. I have done it all to make it stop it won't let up so I'm on a 48-hour all liquid diet such lovely fun. So hang in there <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />. So I think I'm the slowest hands down <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

I definitely feel your pain Art!! Ughhh it's real stressful and depressing. How many calories are you having a day??

  2. What is the longest stall everyone has had?? I was sleeved Sept. 17 and my first stall lasted about 2 weeks. This time it's been about 3 weeks and I'm nervous. Now that I my calorie intake is higher I'm scared I won't lose the weight. I have about 900 to 1200 cal a day it varies from day to day. Does anyone have any advice as to what I can do to jump start my weight loss again??

  3. Has anyone completed the Insanity workout or started it and what are your results?? I'm hearing some crazy stuff about this workout. People passing out and vomiting etc.... If anyone has advice or tips please let me know.

  4. For me' date=' I find it a cop out.

    1) Why wouldn't I want to give credit to the tool that helped change my life?

    2) If what others say about it bothers me, then that's something I need to overcome and take control of. Not run from it.

    3) People knowing helps keep me honest. I don't want to be "that guy" who had WLS and still couldn't keep the weight off.

    4) I want to help other morbidly obese people. Not under the fake pretense of me losing the weight all on my own. But with the truth. That this surgery can change their life too.[/quote']

You are so right Fishy! In the beginning I said I wasn't gonna tell anyone but it just didnt feel right to lie about it and take all the credit. Plus like you said, since my surgery I have been able to help others get the help they need.

  5. I remember feeling the same way and wondering what the hell did I do to myself. Its definitely an adjustment leaving behind that lifestyle that was all about food. I remember realizing 2 weeks post op, that in my old life everything revolved around food and now what was I to do. Good thing is as the weeks go on things get easier and you lose weight and you learn to live a normal life and fit new things in where food use to be :-)

  6. This has been great advice. I know the crackers and chips are horrible, they just go down so easy (convienence needs to get out life) lol. I'am in the mushy stage still and I think I'm gonna go today and get me some Soups and greek yogurt and eat more scrambled eggs. What greek yogurt has the most Protein? ? Everyones input has helped so much, thank you!

  7. Ok here is the deal I got sleeved Sept 17, and the first week went great. I went into the 2nd week and had lost a total of 15lbs. The end of the 2nd week stopped losing and have never started back since. My appetite has become bigger, I can take down about 700 to 800 cal a day. I eat Soups and crackers and snack size chips go down well. I know I shouldnt be eating these crackers and chips. One day I actually gained 2lbs, how is that happening if I only ate 800 cal in a day. I got them to come off by eating only 350 calories the next 2 days but no other weight loss. I would just like some input on what to eat at the beginning of week 4. Any input from others that went through this .......please.

Question: Now that we have a smaller stomach how many calories must we be limited to, so that we lose weight??

I know before if I ate anywhere near 800 to 1000 calories i would lose like crazy. So now that we have smaller stomach does it take a lot less calories to lose weight??

  8. I was sleeved Sept 17 and the scale stopped at 15lbs lost about 3 days ago. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what was the result. Im so upset about this but at the same time coming to a sad realization that without food I dont have much of a life. I had food when I was bored, sad, happy, mad, or just for something to do. I didnt realize how much food consumed my life until now. Tonight I plan on writing things down I can do that dont include food and try and integrate these things into my new life.

P.S. Thank goodness for this forum and all your support!

  9. Today is day 6 and I'm just wondering if I'm doing everything right. I feel like I'm not eating enough and that I'm losing weight too fast. Maybe something I'm doing wrong. Right now I'm eating sugar free popsicles during the day (like 2 day) and drinking liquids like G2 or Crystal light. I cant drink that much at one time so I probably only finish about 1 bottle a day. I was told by a cousin of mine that I need Protein. I tried drinking a low carb slim fast (20grams of protein) I got about 1/3 of it down and feel sick. So I just wanted to get advice on what others are eating on day 6 and what I should be eating by now. Today is day 6 and I have lost 11 lbs.

  10. Thanks everyone for being so supportive! I did end up having my surgery on Monday the 17th. I made the weigh in. I just got released today from the hospital. I have alot of pressure in my chest from gas and indigestion. Even though I'm on having 15cc of G2 gatorade every 30 min. or so. I don't want to start adding more liquids until I think I can handle them. Does anybody have feedback on the indigestion??
