  1. I understand and can relate to your fear. I went through it myself. My only regret is that I did not have the surgery years ago. Look at it this way, you will be gaining a longer, healthier life after surgery. Best of luck to you and I promise it is worth it.

  2. Now that I am losing weight on a regular and steady basis, I find that going shopping for clothes causes me stress. I know what you are thinking, I should be happy about it. I am, but ... trying on smaller sizes and not having them fit me is my fear. I don't want to have any setbacks. I know this is probably irrational, but I get so stressed when I try on clothes that I don't try on the proper size and settle for things that are a size or 2 bigger then I should wear.

It's a mental struggle that I am still adjusting to. Does this make sense or am I on psycho island by myself?

  5. My surgery was August 1st. I was 297 prior to surgery and 283 the day of. I am nearly 2 months post op and have been living off of 1/2 cup of low fat refried black Beans and Danon Greek yogurt. I do cook meals for my husband and I indulge myself to 1 spoonful of a taste and it satisfies me. My 2 month is 10/1 and I am looking forward to being able to eat real food instead of soft stuff.
