  1. Hello all, Haven't been posting a lot. Hope all is well with everyone. Those just sleeved Conratulations you will be so happy! I know it is hard and the eating and drinking after is a mental mess. I am about three weeks out and I am finally starting to understand when my bod is hungry and when it is not. I only weigh myself on Monday's and Today I was down another 7 LBS. That makes it 50 since my higest weight! So pumped about it Going to start at the gym in the next week or 2. Good luck to all! I am thinking about everyone often. Like Dori (Finding Nemo) says "Just keep swiming. Just keep swiming!"
  2. I am 15 days post-op. I haven't had any issues with sleep or pain/gas. Where I am having issues is drinking/eating with air. I am burping or frothing trying to get liquid or food in. I am also trying to get used to a full feeling. I keep telling myself I am full but my mind wants to keep eating. So frustrated with my obsession with eating. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  3. So, a month ago I was wearing size 52 pants. Today, 11 days after surgery, tried on some jeans and I am in a size 44. They were a little tight, but down 4 pants sizes! I am not sure who is more excited me or my wife. I have had to add 3 new loop holes in my belt. I am struggling with my mental hunger and doing what I should do, but fitting into jeans size that I haven't had since I was in high school! Wow!!! So happy! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  4. So I am down to 367. When I started the process I was 410. So 43 lbs. wow!!!! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  5. So I will be at my 1 week post-op appointment in an hour. Curious to see how much I have lost. I am excited to get the stitches out. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  6. Ok. So I am a little scared. I can drink whatever I want want with no or very little discomfort. Soups are easy and don't bother me. I am a week out and yesterday cheated with my liquids by having some crackers. I am worried that I am doing to well and something is wrong. Maybe it is just nothing but I listen to everyone else and the issues and think that I might be missing something. I get a little heartburn but I can't complain one bit. I see my doc tomorrow for a follow up. I am supposed to be on liquids for 2 weeks then purée for 2 weeks and then soft for 2 weeks. I am scared that since nothing is bothering me that I am going to lose control move too fast and hurt something. Sorry for rambling. Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue. Attention February 2013 Sleeve Buddies!

Okay so here goes. Surgery went awesome! I was up and out of my hospital bed by 7 o'clock that evening. I had a good walk around the hospital floor. And wasn't in a town of pain that night. Getting woken up for blood sugar readings every hour got very old and made it hard to get a good nights sleep since I'm a type One diabetic but all seemed to be going well. Then the drain that they had in my side started to irritate the end my insides and cause me to feel like I was having lots of gas pain and soreness and my catheter was really irritating the end of my penis causing it to be harder to walk so I requested that the catheter be taken out and they actually took that out the next day. Sauron day two and day three I walked over 4 1/2 miles just trying to get the exercise in and really didn't run into any problems unseal the third day morning when I stood up to walk out of bed and my calves were super super tight. Seems that I was sleeping in my bed with my feet straight up-and-down because the bed was too short for the length of my body. Being 6' 3" made it difficult for them to find a bed that was long enough and comfortable for me. That caused me to have some serious sleep issues being able to get comfortable. When I went home on Friday I felt great. Was home Friday night and felt tired and then Saturday relaxed and went out for dinner and time with family space and then walking with family through target. Having very very very many doubts about whether I should of had the surgery or not. As I'm watching other people eat in restaurants and me struggling taking down soup knowing that I'd much rather be having that burrito or those nachos or that cheeseburger that Fried chicken. I miss eating the foods I don't know if I'm not feeling hungry because I'm testing my body or if it's because I see those foods I definitely don't have any of the full symptoms and it makes me worry that I'm going to go right back into my over eating habits just need help.

Well surgery went great. Sitting in the hospital room feeling a little bit tired but doing great. I hope everybody else had surgery today is doing just as well as me. Pain is at six but I think it's more discomfort and pain. God bless everyone else had surgery. Really tired but happy. Sent from my iPhone using VST

So today is clear liquids. Then to the hospital for 6:30am Wednesday. It is getting very real and I am scared as hell. I shouldn't be since I have been watching my rockstar wife for three weeks since hers. I just keep thinking what could go wrong and what if I never see anyone again. I know it is stupid but seems really valid today for some reason. I am normally a very optimistic person but I am worried. Well time to put on the big boy undies and make today great so that tomorrow I can start to live the rest of my life! Sent from my iPhone using VST

So, I went to the Super Bowl party, served 40+ pounds of prime rib and sirloin and potatoes ham etc. I have to admit that I had a couple of small pieces of prime rib and that is it. I know I shouldn't have had any,, but considering I would normally have had pounds of meat, I am pretty proud of myself. Wednesday will not come soon enough!

So I am on my week long liquid diet before surgery. Would it be so bad if I had a chunk of prime rib during the Super Bowl? Sent from my iPhone using VST
