  1. It is hard it was awful but, you will get through. I struggled and messed up a few times but, did it and am three weeks post op good luck! You can do it!!!
  2. I learned the hard way my phone had to be far away to charge.
  3. Pack a extension cord for your phone charger also if you have long hair braid it use a rubberband with no metal or you wake up with your hair in a mat in the back of your head.
  4. She knows I am having a hard time getting in the protein and says I can only imagine what your going through... She's a pretty good friend she looks great and seems so much happier with herself. and since she is a nurse has been overly helpful with all this blood clot business. I don't want to invade her privacy which is why I haven't said anything. I've known since before my surgery when her daughter said my mom hated the liquid diet before her Lap band watch out. I know a lot of people keep it private that never occurred to me not saying she's doing anything wrong I am dying to ask her advice on this journey. I just don't want to embarrass her so I will probably continue to pretend I don't know but, I feel like I'm lying by not saying I know. Plus I would hate to throw her daughter under the bus.
  5. Have someone in my life I know had bariatric surgery her daughter let it slip. She's a year out and could answer so many questions for me. She knows I'm struggling with stuff but, has offered no insight. Should I say I know you've been through this or keep pretending I don't know.
  6. I was at Mercy with Dr. Hawver
  7. I agree can't wait to move up to real food! It will be worth it. I'm just bored with my food now.

  11. The ones that make me mad are the sexy costumes for 13 year olds ummm I would lock my kid in the basement before sexy strawberry shortcake left my house.
  12. Please please please no vomit!!! Big $$$ no whammy I am on week 3 and have yet to get in my protein due to vomiting issues wish me luck!
  13. I agree call everyday if you need to. I have Cigna and was sleeved on sept 4 they approve it all the time but, can be nitpicky about the ins and outs. Don't get discouraged get focused on what little thing they need to get you approved.
  14. I was sleeved on Sept 4 I have a very active 2 year old I have help I just can't carry him around but, most of his activities except leaning over to give him a bath or picking him up to put him in high chair I can do on my own.
  15. Halloween is my favorite holiday and because, of my size I haven't dressed up in years. A 2x in costume is a 14-16....um I wish! Next year peoplewe will wear what we want next year! This year I will have my black clothes on and wear my witches hat again. already sleeved so costume express watch out!
  16. At the character buffet if you ask they will make you food without all the junk and bring you a plate. You will be paying full price but, at least you won't be picking through the food attempting to find something to eat. My suggestion go when they have free dining then you won't be stressed out on how much your paying not to eat.
  17. I was sleeved at Mercy formerly St.Johns by dr. Hawver I had a few complications but, have been sleeved at home and doing better.
  18. I got a warning my stomach gurgled and I was able to get to the bathroom. If I was healed I don't think it would have hurt as much but, I'm still really sore at my stitches sites.
  19. I have cigna open access plus and I was approved in 5 days. I called everyday to make sure. I would suggest that. I am proof they do approve it. Be persistent and good Luck!!!
  20. Sleeved exactly 2 weeks ago and it was blended seafood it was a violent expulsion I think it hurt because, I'm still healing plus I had dry heaves and they always hurt.
  21. Puked for the first time today and all I can say it hurt more than childbirth!
  22. I have lupus and I had a few complications but, would do the surgery over tomorrow! I will have 3x the complications by not getting the weight off. You have to make the best decision for you but, I would recommend the sleeve to anyone who needed weight loss surgery.
