    NVS

Woo Hoo! I remember the day when I realized that my towel actually wrapped around all of me, not just my top half, with a big gap where my a$$ is.

    So nervous..

You'll be fine, just follow your doctors/nutritionists instructions. The getting the fluids in part is kinda hard post-op, it would take me all day to drink one bottle of Isopure. That and if you have young kids, not picking them up or making sure that they don't jump on you... I was constantly putting my hands up to protect myself from too much love.

    Today's my day!

    Good Luck!
  6. Not really...I started in July after my first NUT appointment and I had a Protein Shake for Breakfast, 4oz of lean Protein and veggies for lunch and dinner. Then 3 weeks before surgery I switched to a shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch and 4oz of lean protein & veggies for dinner. I had lost exactly 50lbs by the time I went for my final pre-op appointment with my surgeon.

    Calling all Long Islanders :)

I was 8 months post-op yesterday and 30 lbs to go. You'll do fine, just follow what they tell you... I read posts on here all the time, people drinking soda, eating pizza and all kinds of crap and then say I only lost 20lbs in 6 months... it takes a little effort, but it is so worth it! Good Luck!
  8. I lost 50 lbs pre-op -- I try to keep my carbs under 40 grams per day, and usually eat between 800-1000 calories a day most of which are from Protein. That's it! I try to do 30 minutes of Jillian Michaels workout during the week...

    How long to eat salad?

I had to wait 4 months for salad, it"s a little too rough on your new tummy.

    How do you reward yourself?

I buy myself some new smaller clothes!
  12. It really depends on your surgeon. Some have three weeks others only the day before. Ask your surgeon or nutrionist what they require.

    One year Today

Wow you really look awesome! Congrats!
  21. I can truly understand that... I first tried adding Protein powder to the Greek yogurt post-op, then I tried to eat without the protein powder, either way I was gagging as I put it in my mouth. I just couldn't do it.
