  1. She said "I thought I was willing to exchange your happiness for my integrity" ... now, why wouldn't she want you happy??...cause that is what she is saying here - that her 'integrity' is more important to her than YOUR happiness... I don't know about anyone else, but the happiness of my friends and family is of the most importance to me! This is so sad and I truely hurt for you here... but it really seems as if you might be better off...
  2. I'm not real sure what bike I want... I like several Specialized, and a few from Trek... I'm gonna wait until Spring (hopefully I'll be about 25 - 35 pounds thinner by then) and get fitted and try a few out. I;m very excited. Everyone of my friends and co-workers and family is sick of hearing about it . I think that they think its all just a 'phase' I'm going through. Ha!
  3. I think I like alcohol more now because I get tipsy quickly. But I don't drink often (haven't had any since Spetember).
  4. Thats awesome Lucy!! Congrats!!
  5. I KNOW I NEED A BIKE!! Lol. I can't afford one now, not until I get my income tax back... Come on SPRING! I think I'm going to get that book too. And I know what you mean about the trails looking a little rough for a road bike, I read on there somewhere that they said most people ride Mountain bikes or hybrids... but some do Road bikes.. Either way, I could always rent one if the terrain was too rough for the Road bike of my dreams. And the organized week long end to end trail (from St.CHarles to Clinton, and they take your luggage from pne B&B to the next for you) runs a bit over $1000. I couldn't afford that one, but I could afford to just do my own trip where I lug my gear in a backpack or something. Lol. I was thinking of doing it and camping, but I;m thinking carrying a tent around would get old fairly quickly. Haha.
  6. I live in a suburb just North of Kansas City Missouri. So the Clinton MO portion of the Katy trail is about 2 hours south of me. I actually used to live in Clinton MO when I was 18... never even knew the trail existed! Lol. I agree with the B&B or camping... and did you see the amount of Winerys?!?! I'm sooo thinking that biking/wine tasting go hand in hand. Hahaha! It is a good website. I spent about 3 hours there the other night...
  7. A while back someone mentioned converging (is that the right word?) for a bike ride around KS/MO since itw as nearly a centerpoint for everyone... I was bored the other day and found this site - www.bikekatytrail.com - looks freaking awesome... I've never done it, obviously since i don't even ahve a bike yet! but I have some co-workers who've done it and say its awesome, and hard work. Check it out.. or I'd be willing to travel if ya'll have some cool trail in mind near you.
  8. .. though the trainer can't/won't call until you confirm an appointment by email. I was using mine for almost 2 weeks before I got around to setting up the appointment with the trainer!
  9. OK. I've had my tongue done for about 10 1/2 years now... And I go months at a time without it in... it won't close up. Lol. As of now, I don't think I've had a barbell in since May, but I promise that if I tried to, it would slide right in without any issue. I'm pretty sure that you'll have to take it out pre-op. I mean, if I wasn't allowed to wear freaking LIPGLOSS then I'm sure all jewelry has to come out. Lol. All will be well. You can slip it back in as soon as you wake up!:kiss2:
  10. Well, thats nifty! Lol. Wish they'd have thought of that sooner! Does it run on batteries... how do they change them? Hmmm. Interesting.
  11. FarmerE - I"m gald you're OK!! Stef - Welcome back! BigBaby - Congrats on the elliptical! It's my fave machine ever. Lucy - I LOVE walking outside! But, I live in Missouri, so winter is upon us! I think it will be nice enough for me to walk outside for a few more times, but then it will be all gym all the time for me until about March or April. I love walking outside because my mind has time to roam about. Lol. I've always been a 'daydreamer' but don't have mych time for it usually between work and life! Haha BEER - Oh how I miss my bud lights... I haven't had anything carbonated since surgery. I don't miss diet coke at all, but I'd shave my head bald for an ice cold bud light!
  12. Lol I thought he same thing!:omg:
  13. Trysteele - Don't wait until Christmas! Lol. Waiting is over-rated.
  14. Oh, and BG you are totally cute!
  15. Ya'll been busy - beer, ball, and bald heads. Baldies are hot, btw. Exercise... I've been a sloth this week. I walked Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday... but have totally flaked out otherwise. Last night I went to see the movie American Gangster (Denzel Washington is effing hot!) and ate an entire bag of $4 reeses peices... 200 calories per 'servivng' ...6 'servings' per bag. YIKES!!!!!!! That is 1200 cals! Thats more than I've been eating in an entire day!!!!!!!!!! So there went my dinner... Ugh. TMI - anyone else have issues with not being 'regular'? Seriously annoying... I miss my bathroom time. Maybe I need more Fiber... Maybe I should add some Benefiber into my morning Protein shakes? Lol. Oh my... work work work. I'm at work now and will probably get banned from internet access if I spend much more time on this website. Darn patients!!
  16. PB balls - they are the BEST. And hair free. (Ha!) OK, the BB... I still love mine. Lol. But it IS annoying about the whole 40% off thing. Last week my average calorie intake was 1200, according to my weightloss it was more like 1800! Thats how they figure it, btw, is based on your weightloss and the amount of calories you burn. Its a simple math problem. 3500 calories burned = 1 pound lost. Pisses me off though. It is JUST a computer program, so it can't take into account things like water balance and menstral cycles. I think, for me, the BB is an awesome tool cause it has helped me see that even with the lap band I eat alot of bad things.. it keeps me accountable.
  17. ooey gooey desserts... yeah, someone brought in this evil fucking chocolatey chocolate sinfully delicious cake and I ate some. I ate a small peice, but I am still disappointed in myself cause I'd been so good. My scale has barely moved in a week and I'm mad at myself now. Ergh.... And THanksgiving is going to suck cause there will be PEANUT BUTTER BALLS there. Dammit - I'm done bitching now.
  18. I heard about the Ho ho ho thing. How crazy, and DUMB! And WTF is a 'Family tree' I mean - seriously... WTF you doing with an evergreen tree in your livingroom with lights and tinsel and glass balls if you don't celebrate CHRISTMAS? Seriously. Whats next, they gonna start picking on the Jewish faith and change the meaning of Hanukkah?? No more Dreidel songs! (yeah, I can't spell...)
  19. Lol Wombat! how odd! You'll have to let me know what it means when you figure it out!
  20. Faithmd to the rescue!! Lol. Hey Faith, how you been lately??

  22. Hang in there BG...
  23. OMGoodness D! I have 7 brothers, 3 sisters, 1 brother-in-law, 3 sisters-in-law, 3 nieces, 4 nephews... more aunts, uncles, cousins than I care to count... and my cousins have kids ... granny, gramps, plus I have my mom, my dad and his wife.... another set of grandparents, my stepdads dad is still alive... Yeah, my family is way huge. - I'll loan some of them to ya! Hahaha!
  24. Stef is in Vegas with her hubbby. If i don't work out at all I'll burn 2300-2700 cals (depending on if I had to work or not.) On days I exercise I burn 3200 - 3600. Today I walked 5 miles and so far (at 9:40pm) I've burned 3273... so my day should end with about 3600 burned. Its the exercise that makes all the difference. On days I choose to not work out I will lower my intake to less than 1000 cals. Otherwise I will eat about 1200 - 1500.
  25. For Thanksgiving I'll be doing the usual... Driving 2 hours to go to my Granny & Gramps' house. There will be about 50+ family members there. We will have Turkey, dressing, other random dishes... and then there will be the very very large dessert table, which will have more calories than an Army should eat in a week. I will be forcing myself to resist the evil temptation that is Peanut Butter Balls and Pecan Pie. We will play games and visit and I will try to avoid people noticing what and how much I eat, Lol. No one knows about my lapband... And, really, this will go on for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday... Yeah, we know how to party. Lol.
