  1. HP - Congrats on getting a new bike! I'd love to be able to afford a "NEW" bike, but we all must make due with what we got. Haha. You should put up pics of teh bike soon!
  2. C- Thanks for the congrats - I will be geting a helmet soon!! And I was talking to a friend of mine tonight about my bike and he got so excited that he wants to go buy a bike toO! So we'll be getting him a cheapie bike and we'll ride together. We'll look so good. Haha BG - I know what you mean about being the biggest one in the room!!! Yesterday when I was at my brothers welcome home party (home from Iraq) I was SHOCKED that I wasn't the biggest by far! Lol. Most of my fmaily is rather large... but it is now my little sister (22 years old) who is the largest. Seriously, she is 6'0" tall and has to weigh at least 400 now. (I'm 5'10" and weighed 382 at my highest recorded weight.) I'm so sad for her!! I'd share my secret of Lap Band with her, but she and her husband have no insurance and absolutely no money so it isn't even an option for her at this time. ANYWAY... I'll post a few pics of my bike tomorrow... or later tonight, depending on my mood.
  3. Guess what guys!?!?! My bike is up and running - AND I learned how to ride. Lol. After my dad put on the nwe tires and tightened up the brakes my lil brother Matt, who is like 10 or 11 years old, kept trying to get me to ride. I was like "Nooo! I'll fall off!!" He kept telling me that he'd catch me. He's such a cutie! So I hopped on and 'rode for a while with one foot on the ground before I finally got up the courage to put that foot on the proper pedal. Ha! It was so awesome!! I was flying - until my 1 1/2 year old nephew ran out in front of me and I paniced and jumped off the bike. (I couldn't even think to break, just jumped off.) Anyway, I'm very very excited. Now it's getting cold for a few more days. Tuesday supposed to me in the 60s though... so I may try a ride on a public street... we'll see how that goes. I should probably get a helmet before then!! BTW, I'm MySpace.com - www.myspace.com/7225871 Just don't ever leave a public comment about lap band, cause I have family there who don't know about the surgery. I'm sneaky.
  4. Wow, we're all myspacers. Lol. I have a facebook too, cause my whole family does, but I never use it. Just FYI: PLEASE don't leave me public comments on myspace about Lap Band. I have family on there too and NO ONE knows about my band. It's just easier that way. Thanks! I'd write more, but I'm so tired with the Daylight Saving Time thing! Ugh. And i"m gonna be late to work if I don't get dressed!!
  5. hey all! I'm MySpace.com - www.myspace.com/7225871 ADD ME NOW! Lol. I need to go to my doc again for more lab work. I know back in like Sept she told me I was 'insulin resistane' so I need more labs now and stuff... maybe I could sweet talk her into some byetta! Haha. She's a DO though, not an MD. DOs don't typically like to give out meds as freely as MDs...
  6. I have insulin resistence, though I'm not diabetic... maybe I can talk my doc into the byetta? Lol. I haven't worn my bugg for about a week. I have a dry skin rash on my arm where I wear it. I tried just moving it up or down or on the other arm and it's just not comfortable there. I'm fickle. But yeah, as soon as the rash is gone I'll put it back on. (My whole body is a big dry skin rash! This winter is KILLING my skin!!)
  7. So would you al recommend getting a new SEAT, or just a gel seat cover? Cause if I'm gonna get a new seat I'll need to get it before Sat and have my dad put that on for me too. Haha
  8. Wow Rhonda, sorry you've been sick!! Hope you feel better soon! As for a plateau - I'm there with you! I'm getting pissed off about it too! Grrrrrrrrr!
  9. Oh yeah. Did I mention that I have NO padding on my ass and that the seat KILLS me!!! What kind of gel seats do you recommend?
  10. Ergh! Argh! Cuss cuss cuss! So.. after about an hour of trying and cussing and knuckle scraping... I can only get off one screw thingy to get the wheels off to change the tires and tubes. Lol. I nearly cried when I was remembering how my stepdad used to do all that stuff when I was a kid (he passed away 7 years ago this month). It was a crazy hour. I finally gave in and called my father. I'll see him this Saturday anyway (my lil bro just got home from Iraq and we're having a shin dig for him) so I called and he said he'd get it fixed for me. I'm very grateful, but it still feels a bit like cheating on my stepdad. Haha. I have issues. Either way - my bike WILL be all fixed up on Saturday! I need to finish shining her up a bit... when ppl donate crap to the Salvation Army they don't care what it looks like. Caked up mud all over her undersides. Ugh. C- sorry about your doc not giving you want you wanted... but as a nurse you know that not all docs are good with that kind of stuff...
  11. Thanks B. I really hope I like this bike!! And the Bimbo thing is a brand of snack cakes in Mexico. I bought some when I was down in Houston a couple years ago. Yummy!
  12. Hey all.... I shouldn't say anything yet - cause I'm not sure how it's going to work out - but I bought a bike today. Haha. Got it at the Salvation Army Thrift Store... $24.99. She is a deep red color and looks good. Feels good. I have so far spent WAYYY more money on new tireds, tubes, air pump, a multi tool and back of the car rack thingie... the tires alone cost me more than the damn bike! Good think I was shopping cheaply!! She's a Columbia Calais - I tried to find a pic online of one, but came up empty handed... so whatever. I'm going to attempt to get her all shined up and new tires/tubes/ ect all put on before I take pics. Still need a helmet, I forgot to get one. Oh well, soo damn cold right now anyway, and I think its supposed to snow a bit tonight. I'm excited anyway. HOPEFULLY next year I'll be able to get a 'real' bike. Hahah!
  13. and yes, I am cute!:tt2::shades_smile::ohmy:
  14. OMG. THAT is insane! I'm not that confident though. Totally not my style either. Haha.
  15. I never knew that they had websites for that? Lol. When I was thinking about lap band I did a Google search and THIS is the first site that came up for me! Lol. I've been here ever since!
  16. Thats really awesome J! I'm totally going to try that!!!
  17. Ya know - I could whore myself... but that would mess up my celibacy... Haha. I'd also probably have to shave my legs... Maybe I'll just buy some cheap ass bike and spray paint it hot pink. Ha!
  18. Well damn. THere went my dreams of having a cute pink bike. Lol.
  19. WHile I'm looking at bycyling things... I found a cute bike. Haha WHo wants to buy it for me? Lol. Cannondale doesn't list their prices on their site though. Bastards!
  20. I was searching for more jerseys and found this: I thought it was cute.
  21. OMG! I LOVE The hard and fast one!! As for the BIMBO one, I think I got it from photobucket. Lol. Good stuff.
  22. Lol. LOVE the jerseys!!
