Women on Biggest Loser???
The men get on my NERVES! Esp Jay and Mark! All they ever do is CRY. I HATE when men cry. Babies. They should have been eliminated in the very begining... And I'm sooo pissed that Brittany was sent home! She's been my fave since day one! Her and Bernie were my picks. Ugh.

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
Hey all, glad to see you posting about the 3 day cravings!!! I'm on day 2 with no ice cream... that stuff is like CRACK for me! I'm wanting it badly... but I'll make it! Did I post it here? I'm TRYING to say NO to ice cream until my birthday - 5/12. So that is just under 2 months... I REALLY want to lose 20 pounds by then. Cute kiddo J!!

June 2007 Bandsters
Yay for a good fill!! I've been thinking that I need another one... I've been eating 'around' my band alot lately though, so I want to try getting myself back on track before I run for a fill. 2 days without ice cream now... and I'm really wanting it. Haha. I think it's like heroin!

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
It's been snowing or raining ever since I got your email. Lol. But I do think I understand it now. I'm also going to do what J said and have someone (my roomie) hold the bike up while I shift gears and hand pedal it to see what goes where. I'm getting a gel seat on Friday...

Cookie Diet
I've seen the commercials.. and my final decision on it was that I got he lap band so I could quit dieting. Lol. And i just imagine that the cookies will taste like the APEX ones - NASTY!

June 2007 Bandsters
I fill up my jug at work at 7:30am every morning and I usually refill it at least once. I just kinda sip on it throughout the day... At home in the evenings I"m addicted to teh OceanSpray Diet Cranberry Grape juice. Only 5 calories per serving - and if you drink the entire container (64 oz) it's only 40 cals. Haha.

Not sure on the protein thing - I've heard 35-50 at a time. I do know that Aminogen is supposed to help in the absorption of protein though. I take one with my protein shake every morning.

June 2007 Bandsters
I can't wait to be an 18! Lol! I remember shopping with my mom last Spring and she is a size 6/8 and so the biggest size in the department that she was shopping in was a 16/18 and I remember just WANTING to be able to wear that size so I could shop there. It's silly, but I know that I'll be momentarily pleased with my weight when I get there. Haha. As it is, 24's are still snug on me.

colon cleanse
Lol. Some ppl naturally have thin soft stools that will 'curl' in the cold water of the toilet. If she's never looked at her own stool before then who knows, maybe this is normal for her. I kinda doubt she pooped out an earthworm. Intestinal worms are typically very small... unless you have a tapeworm...

I Was Just Thinking.....
Hmmm I get what you're saying, but... I have to MAKE choices... I LOVE ice cream and chocolate. I always have and always will. On the weeks I eat lots of the sweets (which the band does NOT stop or limit!!) I don't lose. IF I use my TOOL then I DO lose. See. Easy. BUT, if I wasn't a sweets eater, and insetad liked to drown myself in regular foods that the band can control, then I would say it was easy.

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
Haha... OK. Waste of space here... I was looking through google images and found this one. I thought that the next time someone asks me why I wanna ride a bike so badly I can just say "What Would Jesus Do?"

Anyone doing Weight Watchers (or similar) as well as having the band?
I used to do the WW and Lean Cuisine meals... but now I quit eating meat so I can't have them. Oh well. It forces me to cook a bit more.

Anyone doing the MS150 or similar races?
What kind of bike did you get??! I'm all about bikes now. Lol.

colon cleanse
I've done one, and I loved it, personally. After surgery my diet changed soooo drastically (duh) and my bowels got all confused. I'd go 4-5 days without pooping!! I did a cleanse and now I poop at least once a day. FYI - a 'normal' person (whom I've never met!) should poop minimum of 2x per day - EVERYDAY. I think thats insane though - WHO HAS THE TIME!! PS - If you want to do a cleanse, make sure it's an all natural one, and no less than a 7 day process. Anything faster and it's just not as effective. the purpose isn't to have explosive diarrhea, just to regulate bowel function.

Byetta
One of my good friends on here is on it and she is not diabetic, her doc gave it to her for weightloss and it's working great for her. I was insulin resistant a few months ago, so I'm thinking about talking to my doc about it. I think it's a great drug!

BMI History! I've confused myself!
When I was getting stuff together for my surgery it only mattered what my BMI was right then. I thin when they look at your history they are just trying to see if the obesity is an acute thing or if it's something that you've strugled with for a long time.

I got my Date - March 26th
Congrats to you! You'll do great!!

three-week plateau
I'm on a plateau right now - about 2 1/2 months... I blame ice cream. Lol. Seriously though, I have cut back on the sweets again and started riding my new bike and walking again and I've lost 1 pound this week. It's all about spending more calories than you're consuming.

I just count calories. And I use the body bugg (BODYBUGG :: HOW IT WORKS)

worried and frustrated
Have you gotten a fill lately?!?! Sounds to me like a visit to your doc is in order!! THe band will not work without the proper fill amount and restriction!

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
THanks J. I've looked online a bit about how to shift gears and such. I think mine just confuse me because they aren't numbered like the new bikes. Lol. I need to figure out what works. I like your suggestion about having someone hold up the bike and hand pedal while I shift. Maybe I'll tag my roomie for that sometime this weekend. veg food is so yum. My lasagna is good - though I made the mistake of using cheapie fat free cheese on top and it didn't melt so much as clump together and turn hard... Ugh. Once I peel that layer off it's OK. Haha. Wish I had enough energy to go to the store and buy a better cheese to put on top. Lol. Oh well. Anyway, I used the Boca 'meat' crumbles and some diced mushroom peices to make it and its good. :banghead:
