  1. Sweet girl! Merry Christmas early!!
  2. Yes and I'm super sensitive to smells. What used to entice me before now nauseates me. I got good advice from another post op sleever to only introduce one new food back into my diet at a time. I think we get so sick of shakes that when we are cleared for more, we think ok and try our old favorite Proteins. And now they're gross to me. Go figure huh? Lol
  3. Thank you. Ad congrats on yours!! This is the best results for weight loss I have ever experienced. It would be the best even if I was only losing half of what I am doing.
  4. Good luck to all the December Sleevers!! I wish you guys the best!
  5. I've finally discovered no sugar added frozen fruit pops. Given I've been drinking fruit punch and grape drinks for weeks now...plus the protein shakes...having a tangerine pop was heaven. I missed Citrus.
  6. My jeans were baggy already. And I was cleaning out my jewelry box and found my old engagement ring and wedding band (divorced now). I put them on and they're loose. They slipped right off my fingers. And they fit on my middle finger now. How's that for irony. Hahahaha!! But I love seeing results like that. Cannot wait to get cleared for strength training.
  7. You look so beautiful and happy. Congrats!!
  8. Ok let's figure this out...what are you drinking? How are you getting your Protein in? How many ounce of liquid are you getting in and how much protein? What does a typical day look like for you? I know if I don't start drinking right when I wake up I'm going to have a rough time getting it all in. And you feel like crap when you don't get the fluids and protein in. And I have to have a shake when I first wake up. I'm on puréed foods but I find I still need one shake a day so I do that first thing. I'm not a big thinker when I first wake up so the shake is a great go to.
  9. Takes time to learn how to get it all in. You'll have good days and bad days.
  10. Just an update. December Challenge: ends on 12/25/12. ~ Surgery Date (SD): 11/20/12 ~ Starting Weight (SW): 320 ~ Current Weight (CW): 292 ~ Goal Weight (GW): 275, with an ultimate goal of 270 cuz it would be a nice belated birthday present for myself (birthday is 12/21). Tally
  11. Darlin'....opinions are like a-holes. Everybody's got one and they all stink. That's a direct quote from my grandmother. And a wiser woman I have never met. I told everyone. I'm proud of my choice. I'm proud of every success and even any missteps. I made the best choice and I do NOT let others opinions take up real estate in my mind.
  12. Go to the ER. Go to the hospital you had your surgery in if possible. But I would go because it could be anything. Just take care of it ASAP!
  13. You will pack a bunch of things and never need most of them. Trust me I know. I barely looked at my phone or iPad. The only thing I used that I brought was my change of clothes to go home in. And make them loose and comfy. You are going to be so bloated its disgusting feeling. I also used my Bert's bees lip balm. Picture in your left hand the pain pump and your right lip balm. That's how I rolled. Lol. I also used my toothbrush, toothpaste and mouth wash. I wish I had brought my face wash cuz I had to use their wall mounted stuff which dried my face out horribly. At the last minute, the night before...I had to get tampons and those female cleansing cloths by Always. I was oh so lucky and started my period the day before my surgery. All the stress and pre-op diet delayed my period 2 weeks. I know awesome right. You're going to have a catheter in so you can't wear undies. You don't want the irritation. But I do recommend the cleansing cloths regardless cuz it does help you clean up and freshen up since you can't shower for a day or so. But that's pretty much it. You're so out of it that you're really not going to be up for much else. I hope this helps. And I totally understand you're feelings in wishing it would happen yesterday. But enjoy the time to be normal and educate yourself and prepare in as much as you can. It will go a long way towards you having a beautiful recovery. Hugs to all! Happy holidays! It will be here before you know it.
  14. Congratulations! You should take another pic in one month so you can really see changes, especially if you stall. It would be a great motivator.
  15. That's so awesome!! Very happy for you.
  16. I'm now 10 days post op and down 23. Booyah! I'm just keeping up with my walking despite tenderness. Strong and steady.
  17. Your throat, esophagus, belly and pylori valve (and everything in between) is swollen and sensitive right now. If you take a 2 liter bottle of fluids, take off the cap and up end it. It's going to drain but not without air causes it to "glug". It's normal, so don't get upset.
