My doctor is just as conservative. Two weeks clear, two weeks full, two weeks purée, and two weeks soft then on to a full diet. My whole overweight life, I have pushed the rules, and justified my way up to 300 lbs. I mean, pizza is just bread, dairy, meat and veg. Nothing wrong with that, right? Just this once, to get the most out of this surgery, maybe, it's time to let someone else be in charge for a while. For me, following the plan I was given is a step towards dealing with all the head stuff that got me here in the first place.

Thanks TamBam. I still can't believe that I have done this. It doesn't feel real. I had a dream last night that I was eating solid foods, which I'm not allowed for another month. I was so relieved to wake up and discover it was just a dream. Anyone else with food dreams? Oh!! I never realized before how many food ads there are! I'm not hungry in the slightest, but when I see an ad, I think, wow, I'd love a piece of pizza;). Awful.

Thanks Nelliebean. I feel better bc I am exactly 4 days out! I did have to drink a lot of nastiness at the hospital. My body is probably trying to get rid of blue dye and iodine.

How are the sleevers from the 23rd doing...I am so sore and still dealing with gas pains.

Prayers and blessings to all of my fellow 23rd sleevers. Our day has come. To quote Dr. Phil, "This is going to be a changing day in your life." I have been nervous and have barely slept for days. Last night I went straight to sleep and I'm feeling at peace. I will keep you updated and post when I can. Good luck!!! Hope all the post ops are feeling great today.

Getting sleeved tomorrow!! So nervous yet so excited to have this over with!

Anybody feel like they are nesting (like before you have a kid)?
Yesterday I woke up early, washed bedding, washed & folded 5 loads of laundry, vacuumed, laid new carpet, moved furniture, assembled a new bed, went shopping, cleaned 2 bathrooms...today I'm emptying out all kitchen cabinets, wiping out & reorganizing them. We remodeled are kitchen last winter, and for some odd reason, I decided now was a good time to move everything to where I want it. 2 days til surgery. It would be nice if I had this much energy after.

My surgery will be this coming Tuesday, July 23rd.

Gwenh, I am July 23 also. There are several of us. Yeah!!

Tonid, I know it's hard not to get discouraged, but hang in there. Aug will be here before you know it. I've had this moved back so many times its not funny. My first group on VST was October 2012 sleevers:). I'm happy to be July. Finally.

Find a friend with an AR-15 or a 12 gauge.. Take a case out to the country and blow the shnizzel out of them.
I always get over things when I can hold a ritual of destruction.
